Five Soldiers Dead After Indian Army’s T-72 Tank Sinks Due To Flash Floods Near LAC In Ladakh
Five Indian Army personnel were killed after their tank sank in the Shyok river near LAC in Ladakh, Indian Army’s Fire and Fury Corps said. “On 28 June 2024 night, while deinducting from a military training activity, an army tank got [stuck] in the Shyok River, near Saser Brangsa, Eastern Ladakh due to sudden increase in the water level,” the Indian Army branch said in a Twitter post. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said he was “deeply saddened” by the “unfortunate incident”.
