Nothing says Christmas like warm weather and sun-filled days — at least for the owners of Oregon’s year-round Christmas stores.
While vacationers plan beach days and park picnics, Christmas enthusiasts are busy preparing for the most wonderful time of the year, months before winter arrives. For early shoppers and party planners, the holiday season can take over the latter half of the year.

Promising merriment, winter-wonderland-themed fun and cups of hot cocoa, these four stores keep the festive spirit alive all year long.
Angel Mountain Christmas
In the quaint Bavarian-themed village of Mount Angel, Angel Mountain Christmas brings a touch of European charm to the year-round Christmas store scene.
Owners Scott and Kristi Stokley, residents of Mount Angel for over 30 years, also own the Bavarian clothing and accessory store Touch of Bavaria. They opened Angel Mountain Christmas in June 2020, specializing in German smokers (incense burners), ornaments, pyramids, and nutcrackers. The store also offers German gifts, greeting cards, accessories, and wine, which visitors can enjoy by the glass while shopping.

Christmas Cottage

On its 50th year in business, the Christmas Cottage in Lincoln City is a treasure trove of tree ornaments and decorative trinkets. Owner Barbe Jenkins-Gibson and her six staff members — or elves, as she likes to call them — run the store year-round, closing only for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
The large space is filled with ornaments that hang from every square inch of the walls and ceiling (tall visitors beware). Jenkins-Gibson attributes the store’s enduring success to her focus on customer relations. With a degree in sociology, she said she firmly believes that good customer service is the one thing that can’t be bought.

The Christmas Junction
When designing The Christmas Junction in Monroe, owner Misti Crowson wanted visitors to feel like they were stepping into a space filled with joy and holiday spirit. The sights, sounds and smells of the store scream Christmas the second visitors enter the pine garland-lined door.
Crownson’s store is a mix of vintage and modern handmade items that are displayed like they would appear in a home. Growing up, Crowson always knew she wanted to run a year-round Christmas store because of how much she loved the holiday. When the historic old town bank in Monroe was listed for sale, Crowson jumped at the opportunity to buy the space and transform it into the store of her dreams. Even the old bank vault is a hot cocoa nook, where visitors can enjoy a sweet treat on the house.

Christmas Shoppe
Fusing coastal treasures with Christmas theming, the Christmas Shoppe in Gold Beach rounds out the year-round Christmas stores on our list. The store carries over 1,000 different ornaments and trinkets from popular brands, like Old World and Bearfoot Bears, as well as local Oregon favorites, like Oregon Ducks.
Other items include earrings, magnets, cookie cutters, wind chimes, beach shells and more.
