The Primary Care Council is a community body established through House Bill 67 in the 2021 New Mexico Legislature.

Payment Reform Update:
We are awaiting the launch of the Net Health portal, anticipated to be available by the end of July. Once the portal is live, primary care practices will receive detailed instructions on how to complete their eligibility screening and subsequent registration (if determined to be eligible).
In the interim, we encourage you to stay informed by regularly visiting this website for updates. Additionally, please utilize the Primary Care Provider Readiness Checklist, which has been designed to assist providers in preparing for the upcoming changes.

Office Hours are hosted every Wednesday at 12:00PM (MST). This is an opportunity for stakeholders y to ask questions about the upcoming implementation of the new primary care payment model in New Mexico.

NEW! PROVIDER FOCUS GROUPS:
As part of the criteria to qualify for the first quarter bonus payment, providers must attend one of the three scheduled focus groups. These sessions will focus on the Patient Experience (PE) and SBIRT Structural Measures. Our facilitators will provide you with information on the structural measure & solicit provider feedback as we design these measures to be applicable to primary care physicians in New Mexico. All focus group sessions will cover the same material and therefore, providers only need to attend one. To review the additional criteria that must be met to qualify for a Q1 bonus payment, please see the PE & SBIRT (coming soon) data collection & reporting specifications documents.
