- Meghan Markle's baby shower took place this week in New York.
- The duchess received several gifts, including an adorable necklace featuring a very British spelling on it.
- Meghan's baby shower included a whole host of celebrity friends, and took place at The Mark Hotel.
The Duchess of Sussex spent a busy few days in New York City this week, as she attended a baby shower thrown for her by some of her closest friends.
Taking place in the Grand Penthouse at The Mark Hotel, Meghan celebrated the fast-approaching arrival of her first baby, with around twenty close friends in attendance, including high-profile celebs like Amal Clooney, Gayle King, Serena Williams, and Abigail Spencer. At the party, incredible snacks were served, including cookies in the shape of a stork carrying a newborn. Basically, the entire event was #babyshowergoals.
Guests were spotted arriving at the hotel with a plethora of pretty gift bags, with many of the presents remaining a secret, as the Duchess of Sussex planned to open them with Prince Harry when she returned home. But as she left The Mark on Wednesday, wearing chic workout gear and a camel coat, Meghan was also wearing an extra special, British-themed gift, in the form of a delicate necklace.
Spelling out the word "mummy," instead of using the American spelling "mommy," the new piece of jewelry made it clear that Meghan is embracing her home in England. The Jennifer Meyer necklace is also available in the American spelling, with the designer offering several other "new mom" variations, too.
The designer even noted the unique British spelling of Meghan's necklace on Instagram writing, "Mummy-to-be, Meghan Markle, glowing in her JM 'mummy' necklace 💛✨":
If you want to replicate Meghan's adorable look, then you can shop similar "mom" jewelry now, some of which is also by designer Jennifer Meyer:
