A HAMPSHIRE town has held its annual Mayor's picnic.
The odd shower was not enough to deter punters in Romsey, who enjoyed choral music and a brass band.
The bandstand in the town's War Memorial Park provided some much-needed shelter for the musicians, while everyone else had to resort to umbrellas.
The festivities began at 1.30pm on Sunday, July 7, and continued through the day with a duck race, a raffle and even a miniature steam train.

In addition, there was a wide selection of food and drink on offer.
Other attractions included whack the rat, minigolf and an obstacle course.

As always, however, the main attraction was the famous duck race.

The mayor, Councillor John Parker, posed with one of the ducks taking part before giving his traditional address to the audience.
The event drew a large crowd alongside the river bank to watch 50 named yellow plastic ducks raced down the fast flowing stream to be caught at the finishing line by the Romsey Sub-Aqua club. The winning duck was named George.
Prizes of up to £250 were handed out in the raffle, putting an even bigger smile on some people's faces.
