A PSYCHOLOGICAL thriller set in Winchester is set to be released later this year.
The latest in author David Palin's series of crime novels will see DCI Ben Logan grace the streets of the old Anglo-Saxon capital as he tries to solve a mysterious crime.
Other books in the series include The Armistice Killer and This Changed Everything. The series is published by Nine Elms Books.

DCI Logan is a damaged character who suffers from a condition called prosopagnosia, or facial blindness, which means he cannot remember faces, which has forced him to find another way of remembering people.
It is a condition more widely suffered than people realise - Stephen Fry, Duncan Bannatyne and Brad Pitt amongst others suffer from it.

Logan has hidden this condition since childhood in an attempt to mix in, but it leads to problems as a boy that have an impact throughout his life.
He is not afraid to think outside the box - and sometimes outside the law.
His condition has been a curse and a blessing as he sees things that others cannot.
The new book delves into DCI Logan's troubled past and ties up loose ends from some of Mr Palin's other novels.

Mr Palin was born in London and currently lives in Berkshire. He went to university in Southampton - it was during that time that he forged links with Winchester.
