A HAMPSHIRE nursery has upped its Ofsted rating after just six months.

Following an inspection on May 29 Farley Sparsholt Outdoor Nursery School has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

The outdoor nursery has been recognised for helping children feel safe and secure and being a place which ignites children's curiosity and their appreciation of the wonders of nature.

The latest report highlights a well-led team who share the managers drive for positive change. The report also states that children benefit from good quality care and learning experiences.

The report also states that through an effective curriculum "Staff understand the intent for children's learning and plan activities with children's next steps in mind".

They regularly check the progress children make and target any areas where children need additional support. This helps to ensure that all children make good progress from their starting points.’

The latest report celebrates that partnerships with parents are good, they know key staff members and they receive regular updates about their children’s learning and development.

Regional operations manager Victoria Sedgwick said “The report is a real testament to the huge amount of hard work that has been undertaken by the team”.

Farley Sparsholt Outdoor Nursery is part of nursery group Storal. It is open from Monday to Friday for babies and children up to school age.
