A Winchester man is visiting 76 UK cities in 76 days to interview the public about politics.

Roger Macnair, who lives in Winchester, continues through England on his ‘Veins of Democracy' Tour.

Democracy commentator and environmental advocate Roger Macnair arrived back on mainland England earlier last week, and is now on day 30 of 76.

The journey involves Roger actively engaging with the public to discuss their views on democracy and gather ideas for new initiatives and laws they would like to see implemented in the country.

As part of his tour, Roger is also examining the health of the main rivers in each city, which he aptly describes as ‘the veins of the country’, in an attempt to bring attention to pollution issues.

By focusing on both democratic engagement and environmental health, Roger is seeking to gain insight into the sentiments and aspirations of people in the UK.

His findings and the voices he amplifies will contribute significantly to the national dialogue, providing a clearer picture of public opinion and the pressing concerns of the electorate.

The tour will culminate in Westminster, where Roger will present a report of his observations and the collective voice of the people.

This initiative aims to bridge the gap between citizens and policymakers, fostering a more inclusive, responsive and accountable democratic framework.
