The National Garden Scheme (NGS) received a record-breaking donation of £35,620 from Griffin Glasshouses' 2023 sales on its RHS Chelsea Show Garden.

Since the partnership started in 2013, it is the largest annual contribution to the NGS, following their Gold Medal win at RHS Chelsea.

The donation underscores Griffin Glasshouses' sales of its modern and Victorian greenhouses inspired by the NGS.

Griffin's managing director Linda Lane presented the cheque to NGS Chairman Rupert Tyler and Tom Stuart-Smith, designer of this year's NGS garden at RHS Chelsea.

National Garden Scheme CEO, George Plumptre, said: "Year on year the contributions from Griffin Glasshouses have been a fantastic addition to our fundraising.

"The ongoing and significant contributions continue to help increase the support we are able to provide to our beneficiary charities, including some of the UK’s best-loved nursing charities like Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie and Parkinson’s UK."

Griffin Glasshouse is based at Ropley. For each National Garden Scheme collection glasshouse sold, Griffin Glasshouses donates five per cent to the National Garden Scheme – donating £163,000 since the partnership began in 2013.
