A short while ago I received a leaflet from Romsey Liberal Democrats saying, in effect, that Labour cannot win in this constituency and so you should vote for them. Hardly inspirational.
At a past general election I received a leaflet from Jo Swinson MP saying "meet the UK's next Prime Minister". That ambition did not end well; she lost her seat.
The current leaflet neglects to mention that the possibility of the Liberals forming the next government is near to zero, and so a win for that party here could contribute to the Labour Party forming the next government. Is that what the people of Romsey and Southampton North want?
