A PREP school has celebrated its 75th anniversary with a diamond jubilee garden party.
The event on the school's grounds at Abbots Worthy was a tribute to the school's history and community spirit.
In attendance were three past headteachers (Donna Moore, Penelope Kirk, and Peter Thacker), whose leadership spanned 35 years from 1987 to 2022, dating back to when the school was located in the centre of Winchester in Lansdowne Road.
The day was filled with activities for all ages. Pupils, parents, alumni and staff indulged in traditional cream teas and enjoyed picnics under the summer sun, serenaded by the Prince’s Mead choirs and orchestras.
Families engaged in traditional garden games, with the tea cup ride a particular favourite.
A highlight of the event was the friendly yet competitive cricket match between Year 6 pupils and their parents.
Reflecting on the day, headteacher, Adam King said: "This celebration is a testament to the strong bonds and cherished traditions that have been cultivated here over the past 75 years.
“It's wonderful to see so many familiar faces and generations coming together to honour our school's legacy."
