A HOST of activities are being planned to help shine a light on the vital work that carers do in the community.
Carers Together, a charity that a wellbeing hub in Romsey, is planning a week of activities to celebrate, recognise and support unpaid carers to coincide with national Carers Week, which starts on June 10.
The charity said it is estimated that unpaid carers save the economy £162m a year.
Many unpaid carers are unsupported, don’t recognise themselves as a carer or feel forgotten and invisible.
They may support a family member, friend, or neighbour who due to illness, disability, a mental health condition or addiction cannot cope without their support.
