Affordable Housing

Claretian Associates is a community development organization taking a whole person, whole community approach. We strive to improve South Chicago by initially focusing on housing security and secondarily, by tackling a wide spectrum of interconnected needs. Three pillars of focus directing Claretian Associates’ work are housing, convening around critical issues and violence prevention. Our programs are designed to not only provide safe, quality, affordable housing, but also to support the families of South Chicago as they work to become more stable and enhance their quality of life.

Claretian Associates has seven areas of concentration by which we serve South Chicago. They are affordable housing for Families and Seniors, access to social and health services, youth and leadership development through workforce skill building and training, safety through violence prevention programs, housing and financial counseling, environmental awareness, and food security.
