Greenville News building sold, new owners Find Great People to occupy by summer of 2025

The Greenville News building located at 32 East Broad Street has officially sold as a deal between CAP Camperdown Greenville News LLC. and a new ownership group, 32EBroadStreet LLC.

According to the Greenville County Register of Deeds, the building sold for $10.7 million on June 28, 2024.

The 35,000-square-foot-building will feature the Greenville-based recruiting and human resources consulting firm Find Great People (FGP) as its main tenant, and will fall under full management of The Furman Co. Investment Advisory Services.

The Greenville News, part of Gannett, Co. Inc., and the USA Today Network will continue to occupy an office space in the building.

"We are delighted to have reached an agreement and look forward to working with Furman Co. Investment Advisory Services," said a Gannett spokesperson. "The Greenville News intends on retaining space at the current location and continuing to serve our readers and advertisers.

A full transition of occupancy is expected to take place within the next year, when Find Great People employees and management will the first, second and third floor, while the fourth floor is expected to be subleased, according to Laura Fischman, marketing and operations manager at FGP.

History of Greenville News buildings in downtown Greenville

The original Greenville News building was constructed in 1914, according to the Greenville Historical Society, and was demolished in the 1960s to then be rebuilt on the corner of Main Street and Broad Street in 1967.

The landmark downtown building was previously owned by CAP Camperdown Greenville News LLC. It has been occupied by Gannett and the Greenville News since 2017 and was the first building assembled in the Camperdown Plaza development.

Find Great People, a recruiting and HR consulting firm, will become the main tenant at 32 E. Broad Street after sale of the building has been complete by The Furman Co in June of 2024.

Find Great People (FGP) is a talent acquisition and human resources consulting firm headquartered in Greenville with offices in Charleston, Columbia, and Nashville, Tenn. It is classified as a veteran-owned small business.
