The sweltering heat did not deter nearly 20,000 people from gathering at Unity Park in Greenville on Thursday to celebrate the Fourth of July.

For the third year in a row, The City of Greenville hosted Clemson MBA Fireworks on the Fourth with festivities, including live music, food trucks, and fireworks.

"There are probably around 20,000, it's what we normally have. That doesn't count everyone downtown or on the outskirts of the park watching as well," said Will Young, Deputy Director of Parks, Recreation and Tourism for the City of Greenville.

"Almost the entire city is out here between police, fire, parks, recreation and tourism, public works, every different department has a role in this event so it's a fun event for us and we like to see everyone come out for the fireworks."
