The Last of Us, HBO's dramatic adaptation of the video game of the same name, is already a bona fide hit. It’s one thing to win over critics—it’s another thing entirely to elicit praise from gamers loathe to lavish it on a high-budget remake of their favorite PlayStation title. One episode in, though, the show is also poised to make fans of an equally finicky cohort: forum-roving menswear nerds.

The premise of the The Last of Us hinges on a fungal pandemic that transforms humans into zombies, not exactly the type of Prestige TV you tune in to for the clothing. Then we caught a glimpse of Pedro Pascal as Joel Miller, a construction worker outfitted in denim shirts and steel-toe boots, and our interest was piqued. Miller’s wardrobe is cool enough, in a candidate-stumping-at-the-local-fair kind of way, but when we spotted his trucker jacket we had a nagging suspicion we’d seen it before. And boy, were we right.

Flint and Tinder’s waxed trucker jacket isn’t one of Huckberry's most popular items—it is Huckberry's most popular item, and if Miller’s cosign is any indication, it won’t be relinquishing its status any time soon. Not just because reaching for a tough-as-nails trucker is always wise move around this time of year (it is), but because this particular jacket—cut from a hardy 7 oz. sailcloth cotton and equipped with a cozy flannel lining—has long been one of GQ’s favorites. (And one of yours, too.) Will it keep you protected from the undead? Probably not. But short of an actual zombie apocalypse, we can’t think of a cold-weather scenario where it won’t come in handy, on its own with a beefy cable-knit and some new-age selvedge, or layered underneath a snazzy topcoat and fuzzy fleece pants on a blustery January morning.

Are we looking forward to seeing more of the jacket as the show progresses? Sure. But what we’re really looking forward to, naturally, is seeing more of you in the jacket as viewers around the world cotton on (sorry) to its appeal. We’re not saying you need to start planning your Halloween costume now, but don’t be surprised if you see a whole bunch of fellas in an eerily familiar waxed canvas number come October.
