Ashley Why are you guys commenting on this. Did it pop up in my feed? It's bc I'm re-reading books that were on this list and now they're not!

Matt Smith Really glad you finally hit this 2011 goal, Ashley.

message 5: by Gretchen (new)

Gretchen Alice Apparently you just completed your 2011 book goal. Congrats. ;)

Ashley I REALLY need GR to find a way to account for re-reads. I can't take any more books off this list and add them to my 2015 one without losing my completion or whatever. I have to add new editions and I hate doing that! ARGH GOODREADS.

message 7: by Matt (new)

Matt Smith The weirdest thing about Goodreads is that when it was designed it assumed that you would only ever read each book once.

Seems a small oversight.

Ashley People who only read books once lead sad, small lives.

Heatherblakely When I reread, I choose a different edition. Your page count may be off if you say you're reading the paperback and you're actually reading the hardcover, but it's been working for me.

I know, I just hate doing that. Some books I re-read one million times, and I don't want to have one million reviews for the same book. It's annoying. And I know I'm not the only one who wants a different way to deal with re-reads. Lots of peeps have been calling for some sort of way to deal with it besides the one we have for years and years now in the GR Feedback group.

Heatherblakely Totally agree. I'm just using it as a temporary solution until they find a way to fix this (I don't understand how this is still an issue. Or why we still can't give half stars).

There is no good answer for the half stars thing. It's the most talked about thing in that group. So much so that a permanent thread for it is listed under the welcome: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Crystal Dawn I was about to congratulate you till I realised this is four years out of date :P. Although it does allow me to make my own 2011 challenge...

message 14: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Yeah, sorry about that! For some reason it keeps popping back into my feed when I remove a book from being read in 2011.
