Design Secrets by Kit Kemp

Dodi’s first review of the year

it was amazing
Unlike the many other interior design books I've read, this one spills useful information. Kit Kemp shares specific paint colors/companies, fabrics, and other sources. There is a fun DIY section near the end of the book. I hadn't heard of Kit Kemp before I saw her line with Annie Selke; that's what led me to this book. I like her colorful quirky style. ...more

Money Out Loud by Berna Anat

Dodi’s last review of the year

liked it
Money Out Loud covers financial information for beginners. I didn't realize this book was intended for young adults when I checked it out from the library; it was recommended in a newsletter I read. For me, it was a good review of money basics. I think this would be a very useful book for young people, and I wish I had read it (and heeded the advice) at a younger age. ...more
