Parker’s first review of the year

really liked it
“At night, lying on your back and staring at the falling snow, it's easy to imagine oneself soaring through the stars.”

Starting off 2023 very strong! This book further proves that graphic memoirs are elite. Thompson's art beautifully depicts his most painful memories. He's one hell of a writer too. Reading Blankets is an intimate, often uncomfortable experience, but that's what makes it such an effective coming-of-age story. The romance is heart
