Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare

Steph’s first review of the year

3⭐️- started off strong, drags a bit in the middle and then goes to crazy town. The who was obvious and the why made no sense. LGBTQ rep but randomly thrown in and didn’t fit the narrative. Action packed and entertaining but I wish there had been a better explanation for why things happened.

3.5⭐️

I actually read book 3 in the series first and came back to read book 1 & 2 after. I’m actually happy I did it in this order because I’m not sure I’d have been in love with this series based on this book vs book 3 which I absolutely loved.

I did really like the dark twisty plot in this, but it got overly complicated and the epilogue was totally unnecessary and annoyed me.

I was a bit confused with the use of 1st person (Fawley) and 3rd perso
