it was amazing
bookshelves: best-psychological-thrillers

It’s been a while since I’ve stayed up late, reading in the wee hours. Nelle Lamarr's "The Night Nanny” is a gripping page-turner that had me hooked from its haunting prologue.

By around 2am, I had made it to the 78% mark when my kindle decided to quit on me. Fortunately, my phone was fully charged, allowing me to return to the story. Exhausted eyes and all.

There were jaw-dropping moments. And that ending? It’s one of the best I’ve ever read in this genre. Hours later, and I’m still reeling from it.

The characters? Morally gray doesn’t even cover it. This story is likely to provoke a range of reactions from readers. Maybe incite some to anger. It’s these types of stories that I enjoy the most. Ones that push the boundaries. Delves into people’s motivations. And surprise me in the most amazing way.

At first, I thought the story would resemble the film, "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle." My assumption was incorrect, and the comparison fell short. "The Night Nanny" eclipses all psychological thrillers centered around nannies. It makes every other nanny thriller like a walk in the park with Mary Poppins.
