it was ok

This has a style of execution within both the prose flow and the continuity progression which becomes beyond annoying. All the way to appalling perhaps.

It was about 3.5 stars for the first half. Then proceeded downhill. The last 50 pages were sped read.

Truly I think it is heights of irony. Characters so mother hating and also giving one a heavy dissing upon making money off of this piece of past reality horror which is exacting what the author did herself. Lots of immensely shallow characters by a writer who thinks she knows psychology, Catholicism (clergy times two) and therapy practice but thoroughly does not.

No more of hers for me. I finished it because I wanted to see if she would jump the shark with Ruth. Or if she would brand name drop, keep up the 4 sentence metaphors or go on to describe yet another parent wire coat hanger story at the end.

No, the narrator, the President of our sorority house continues with herself as the star. Not at all surprised.
