2.5 stars - If this had been self-pubbed, I think this would be 3 stars, but considering this was traditionally pubbed, I do think this suffered from not getting the editorial development it needed. There's some fun ideas in here and I liked the dynamic between Evie & the Villain. However, it was ultimately just rather flat in execution and needed more support to make it work as a book rather than a collection of scenes
