I have read the majority of the books in both the will Trent and Sara series’. I love Sara and adore will) so much so that I was happy to get another 17 hrs with them. I also liked that this series finally went back into a past we have heard so much about in many books but was largely vague and unresolved. That said, for someone not in my position, I imagine this story would feel rather long and slow, particularly due to constant repetition.

For example, will and Sarah’s described her engagement ring and the backstory behind it identically, nearly word for word and then still two more characters did the same. The editor was asleep at the wheel for sure.

Overall I loved it because I love spending time with these characters and hope it wasn’t the final song. The ending did seem final.
