This is honestly one of the worst books I’ve ever have had the misfortune of reading. I feel so bad that given our current ecological crisis and the massive paper shortage, that even a single tree had to die for this book to be printed. RIP to the trees 🌲

Oh my god I’m audibly screeching at this omg Aaron girly this is fire.
It was so bad I didn’t even bother rating it. Part of me hates this book and I got an arc so had to finish it.
Nooooooo!!! I was so looking forward to it!!!😭😭I almost paid $30 for this in the bookstore. Now I'll wait for the audio book from the library...
So interesting because another Booktuber I follow just raved about how amazing it is, and how it’s her favorite book of the year so far!! 🤯

I just returned it to audible after listening to 25 chapters! It just got more and more ridiculous. And Pupkin's high-pitched voice drove me insane!
I couldn't agree more. I cried tears of joy when it finally ended.
I would shelve this book in comedy rather than horror for all of the times I lol’d at the ridiculousness when I guess I should have been terrified.

I keep falling asleep mid-chapter
I forced myself to finish and I honestly skimmed the last few chapters. I read his guide to vampire slaying and I liked it. This… this was awful.
You are right. It was miserable. I’m embarrassed that I even finished it.

I don't believe you read this book. The style is superb, the composition was masterful and the ideas first rate.

If your going to sh*t on a book at least explain why. We want to know why you hated the first 3 pages so much! I just read this book (kindle) and it was slow to start, but once it picked up I could not put it down.

I agree. The reader on Audible kept mispronouncing the name Louise as Luis. That wasn’t my reason for giving up,though. The novel itself wasn’t very good. The family dysfunction was dragged out to tedium level.
Funny how you give it one star because I just gave it 5 stars. To each their own!
I've never read a book before that actually made me MAD because it was so bad. It was actually insulting. I didn't like anything about it.

So, tell us why it's one of the worst books you've ever read. Many of us read it on Kindle or listed to it on Audible, so just ranting about killing trees is silly.
