it was amazing

Newly graduated U.S. Marshal Andrea Oliver (that's right the rather insecure and lost supporting protagonist daughter from "Pieces of Her" is now a U.S. Marshal), is set upon her first assignment in the protection of a federal judge receiving death threats.
However, she also has been enlisted by her "evil" uncle, to investigate the death of the daughter of that very federal judge. Which may have implications towards her equally as evil father.
Now if that doesn't make any sense then be forewarn that even though this book could stand alone it would not be half as interesting and fun if you haven't read "Pieces of Her" first.
This story actually has two lead protagonist (voices). Andrea (part of her transformation has included dropping the nickname Andy) the U.S. Marshal and flash backs to the the early 1980's, for the judges daughter Emily.
This is a fantastic mystery thriller that will keep you interested until the very end. However, like most of Slaughters novels this one is very graphic and includes scenarios of rape and graphic murder.
