Knock on Wood is a story about William and how his life turned after a terrible accident when he was just fourteen years old. It is a story told from multiple POVs.

I like the premise and the beginning of this novel. But after that, the first quarter of the book drags too much. It just takes too long to know where the story is going. It’s a pity. This novel could be so much more. I believe this novel would be way better if it was a lot shorter. With its 105 chapters and 530 pages, the book feels too long. That is why, even though I liked the book, I sometimes wanted to stop reading it.

I like multiple POVs and the fact that chapters are short. Even though it’s long, the book feels quite a light read.

Anyway, I would say many readers will like this novel, despite the things that bothered me.

Thanks for the ARC and the opportunity to read this! All opinions are my own.
