I enjoyed this story about a man whose life was changed by a near drowning experience as a child more than I expected to when I started reading it. William changes everyone he interacts with, and he has some really interesting people in his life, A mother who gave up everything to care for him, A brother who resents all he has lost because of his brother's disabilities, his old girlfriend who out grew him, random strangers who become friends.
I gave the book 3 stars because I felt there was a lack of polish to the story. It felt like it needed an editor's hand.
Especially in the beginning, where it was not obvious which direction the story was headed.
