This second and final book picks up right where the first book left off. Annie is at her trailer and is in grave trouble. She has retreated after Dylan started putting up walls and she revealed the truth about herself. All the things that kept Dylan up on his mountain top compound must be addressed, including his father and his biker brother. I must stress how much I loved Dylan’s father, Ben and how well their relationship progressed throughout this story.
”So Max was in the area. Dad was here. Rabbit was hanging around. And I couldn’t get Annie to leave.”
Trouble is all around Annie and Dylan. Dylan actually moves into a trailer at the park since Annie won’t leave. Annie is confident in her feelings for Dylan. Dylan however takes some time to realize that he deserves her love. These two get it on all over this story.
”Tell me, she thought. Say it. I know you feel it.”

There’s several reveals made which involved, Max, Joan, Tiffany and the suspense and action aspects are very well done. Dylan and his family’s interactions and development were one of the best parts of the story. Strangely, I was left kind of indifferent about Annie and felt like she became a nympho out of the blue in this second book...she's free.

I’m left wondering if the author will write further stories for the secondary characters whose futures need to be addressed. Two books preferably one for Blake & Tiffany and one for Max & Joan.

Overall, I really loved the suspense and action portions of this book and of course, Ben. This was a good read if you have enjoyed the first book!
”I’m just…fuck. I’m just so glad you answered that damn phone.”

This story is perfect the season. It's a quick, sexy and sweet read with two likable characters. Brinn and Davis meet on Christmas Eve when Davis attempts to purchase a last minute gift and they get hot and heavy all night long.
”Tonight fell into strictly-for-fun land – a place she’d heard about but never visited.”
Their attraction is strong and the one night turns into a month where they get to know one another and make decisions about their careers.
”Meeting you was the best Christmas present ever.”
Overall, this wasn’t an epic or unforgettable don't miss read but if you’re looking for light and fun this one’s for you.
Special thanks to Brandi, Mysza and Nikki for the fun buddy read!!

This book is very well written, extremely heartbreaking and it will definitely evoke many, many emotions from a reader. I think it’s impossible[image]
This book is very well written, extremely heartbreaking and it will definitely evoke many, many emotions from a reader. I think it’s impossible for anyone not to be able to connect and sympathize with the main character Bailey Trent.
Bailey has been released from prison and returns to her hometown and comes face to face with Dr. Darren Cory. The love that was once between them is now covered and trapped in hateful feelings that would have most people running for the hills. Bailey was a tremendous character, her strength was immeasurable and her love for Darren knew no bounds.
The author does a fantastic job at taking a reader from the present and the past while she tells the tale of a childhood crush which grows and grows till Bailey and Darren Cory can’t resist the “pull” they have to one another.
As a reader frantically reads to find out what the heck happened that landed Bailey in prison, they also endure Bailey’s rejection by town and complete hatred mixed with sexual chemistry directed towards her from Darren.
When the reveal is presented, I was shocked and crushed because it was an unfortunate tragedy where everyone lost.
Here is my ISSUE with this story…(view spoiler)[Darren persuaded Bailey NOT to take a cab and drive HIS car??? WHY would he do such a thing?(because the girls were getting attention from other guys) Why would you put car keys in the hands of girls drinking at a club? I honestly thought that his hatred was covering his GUILT for the ROLE he played but it wasn’t! He truly felt all the blame was on Bailey. WTF…What an a$$ (hide spoiler)]
"Convince me not to hate you because...because hating you is the end of me."
As you may expect, Darren teeters between his feelings of hate and feelings of love for Bailey. Treating her like a criminal one minute and then like woman who could be his everything the next.
”She was the source of his anguish, but she was also the source of quieting it. No wonder he was confused all the time.”
The sex scenes, the love connection and the supporting characters, were all 5 stars quality.
My feelings were exactly like Bailey’s father for Bailey's future. I just wanted her to be happy and whether Darren was stuck in his hell of hatred was on him. Not to say, that I didn’t like the ending because I think all readers will.
”You need to understand something. Forgiveness isn’t an emotion. It’s an action, and it’s a choice.”
