Honestly, this is such a hard one for me to write a review because I have no idea what to think about how everything is wrapped up. I t4 stars for now

Alix is a true crime podcast host and meets her "birthday twin" Josie at a restaurant one night. Josie convinces Alix that she should have her as a guest on her podcast since she has a lot to unveil about her life and thinks her audience may find what she has to say interesting.
The book starts off as more of a domestic drama that eventually evolves into suspense and mystery. I've received some DMs saying that the book is slow for some readers, and I think it's because the plot doesn't really pick up until about halfway in.
Where the book excels is in its character development and storytelling. You will question everyone and their motives, which makes it a fun read and a great discussion! There are interviews, news stories, and other clips throughout that make it feel like you're watching a Netflix special and really bring the story to life.
This is the perfect read if you love podcasts (HIGHLY suggest the audio), true crime, or if you're looking for a new book club pick!...more

Hannah's husband, Owen, disappears one day without a trace. As she tries to piece together what is going on with stepdaughter Bailey, they both start to figure out that Owen may not be who they thought he was.

It had everything I am looking for in a thriller and I am still riding off of that high!! It is quick, fast paced, not too outlandish, had some twists I didn’t see coming … seriously, what more can I ask for in a thriller!?
I *highly* recommend going into this one blind and ignore any book comparisons (seriously those of you who are comparing this book to other books are just giving the plot away and it’s rude ...more

if i'm being picky, the ending was a tiny bit lackluster, but still satisfying.
overall a satisfying conclusion to a super fun series!...more
