Poor Gio broke my heart when we find out the truth of what happened that brought him to Richmond. Jason was kind of a dick in the beginning believing the rumors. But thinks change quickly and the boys start to grow close. There are some hiccups along the way but when a certain something happened, they find that they really want there relationship to work. I loved Taylor, he is such a cute kid. I loved seeing this small town through the MC’s eyes. I can seem them settling down as a family. The ending left me with more of a HFN but I can see the HEA just around the corner. Again the next book in the series can’t get here fast enough. I highly recommend it.

After six years of being stuck in that house, being in town is overwhelming to Sebastian and I felt so bad for him. James has helped get Sebastian free of the house, but there is a consequence to that, that I didn’t see coming. We do find out what is going on with the shades and again, didn’t think of that. Things are not over with yet and I can’t wait for the next book. There were times that James was just clueless, like when Sebastian was like “well I guess I should find a place to live” James didn’t want him to leave & Sebastian didn’t either, but he was just like “okay”. But I do love watching them fall in love. I also like the secondary as they are great friends to James & Sebastian.

Sebastian lives in the creepy houseThis is a new to me author, but it will most definitely be the last. James is an electrician, of the magical kind. Sebastian lives in the creepy house, though at one point he states it’s a manor, but then we are back to it being a house. He sends a letter asking James for help and he agrees. When he gets out there, he finds out that there is no power at all & all his equipment has lost their charges. We then go on this mystery trying to figure out what is going on with the house and why the shades have gone crazy in town. It takes a minute for our MC’s to accept their attraction to each other. Off to the next book.

Each book is from that person's POV and we never really got into Gould's head as he is so quite and doesn't open up to anyone. He has never moved forward from Hal's death. I hate to say it but I don't know if Hal really deserved as much heartache that he put them all through. He seemed like a depressed duchebag. I think that he was more the cause of his own death then Bill was. Even though Bill did everything wrong. Anyway back to Gould. I could have slapped the crap out of him. All Kel asked was for him to be honest and open with her. But all he wanted was her to take over without any input from him. He never told her his triggers. When she did break him down in that massive scene, he never realized how bad it tore her down and that is why she pulled back. I think if there would have been more communication in his side then things would have gone just a little more smoothly. I'm glad that finally, towards the end of the book, he agreed to therapy. He needed that all along. I'm not sure if their relationship is going to be a permanent one or not but I am hoping that it will be. This was a great series. I'm so excited that there is another one & hopefully we can see them all happy and healthy.

Just a very sweet story of a man with a son finding someone that fits as a lover and father. I would have liked to learn more about the shifters.

His ex keeps stalking him, so he thinks that if he runs far enough, he can get away from him. He accepts a job at the institute so that the professor can study his gift. Brandon who is a moose shifter, is a hiking guide. I love that his moose side has a voice. That always thrills me in a book when they are sort of an individual and we can hear what he has to say. When Brandon sees Riley, he knows that he is his mate. Now he has to convince Riley of that and introduce him to the world of shifters. This was a good addition to this world and we get to see some of the others that came before. Even though you do see the other couples, this book could be read as a standalone, just not sure why you would want to :).

I didn't care for Simon being portrayed as a scaredy cat, a little bit maybe, but not being told it over again. Same with him telling us over and over that he has all of his nine lives and wasn't going to risk them. Loved Ogden and wasn't sure if I was going to since he isn't what you picture a dragon to be. Also, I would have liked to have seen our MC's more in their shifted forms together.

3.5 stars. I was really liking the book, so many sweet characters, until I wasn’t. It’s a me thing, not the book or the author. I have read a lot of q3.5 stars. I was really liking the book, so many sweet characters, until I wasn’t. It’s a me thing, not the book or the author. I have read a lot of queer books, but all the trans ones that I have read, the trans man does not like anything to do with the part they were born with. And then on top of that, what happens made it feel like a MF read. Again, this was a case of it’s me not you. I would most definitely pick up the next book in the series, cause there are so many cute characters that need the HEA. I love the Sanctuary and it’s an awsome place that Zephyr created.
