A War of the Roses in an office setting!
These ladies really go after each other in a fierce way, digging their heels in every step of the way. The characters are all unlikeable with some being worse than others. The kind that give you a slimy feeling! EWW....
There are 4 narrators and they are all very dramatic (which matches the tone) and one had a southern drawl that got on my nerves (thank goodness he was a minor character).
Entertaining overall, but felt too long and a little repetitive with the same type thing happening over and over. It was fine for a mindless, light listen.

I almost gave up several times during the first half because Lizzie was troublesome, but the second half really revved up. The author did a great job creating intrigue around the love triangle and throwing in some red herrings to keep the guessing game going!
We learn things at the party, a detective will be calling soon, and the question everyone wants to know is Where is Rebecca?
The narration was mostly good, but Dean's voice was robotic and made me almost laugh every time he spoke (then again it kinda matched his personality)!
The ending wasn't as surprising as I'd hope, but overall I enjoyed the book. 3 1/2 stars for the story and 4 stars for the narration. I would try another from the author.

I loved Morgan and her resilience and authenticity. I became invested in her journey early in the novel and grew to care about her and enjoyed all the little life updates that she experienced. The small things like working as a bartender in a resort with hopes of owning her own place one day, learning to cook, reconnecting with family, and sharing her hopes and dreams.
Things go sideways early on when a cold-blooded man crosses her path and creates chaos. Serial killer on the loose!! This made the book a perfect blend of fluff and suspense.
All the love with some chills.....
The great characterization and flow of the story held my attention throughout. I can see why she is such a popular author. The last chapters were unputdownable with intense action and a satisfying ending.
I'd love this to be a series so I could follow along......

Hope's End has 36 rooms and a bird's eye view of the sea. "What you're feeling is the house" says the housekeeper, Mrs. Baker. Boy, she wasn't lying! So close to the cliff''s edge and a straight drop down to the water, I almost felt dizzy myself. ...more
