I adored Felix (we met him in Emma St. Clair's book, Just Don't Fall) and the whole forced proximity/neighbor set-up. Gracie is stuck in her past hurt from her hockey obsessed family and won't give Felix the time of day. Felix is of course not your average hockey player - he loves to read, is a big fan of classical music and is just so sweet to Gracie and anyone that matters to him. He is such a caretaker and devoted to helping others.
When Gracie is forced to move in with Felix due to a pipe burst in her apartment the chemistry between the two is undeniable! Loved their banter, flirting and overall rapport. The more I see of the Appies, the more I want of this hockey team!...more
A curse breaker and an archaeologist find themselves in an enemies-with-benefits situation that just might lead to romance.
Review: I was a fan of DanaA curse breaker and an archaeologist find themselves in an enemies-with-benefits situation that just might lead to romance.
Review: I was a fan of Danan’s previous books, The Roommate and the Intimacy Experiment so I was excited to read Do Your Worst. I love a good enemies to lovers trope and this one did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the Scottish legends, magic, curses and mystical elements in this book. It was very different from Danan’s previous books that I read.
Clark and Riley were a fun, opposites attract kind of couple. Clark is rigid, logical and stuck on scientific fact. Riley is emotional and honed in on mystical elements. I loved watching these two come together and seeing them come to terms with each other’s beliefs. And can I just say that the steam here was on point and a bit kinky.

Good Bad Girl is definitely one of those plots that you have to just go with, despite feeling confused, and let the pieces come together as the story unfolds. The plot is twisty and follows multiple perspectives and timelines. I enjoyed how Fenney cleverly connects the characters. There are lots of secrets, family drama and some darker thought-provoking themes involving the elderly and postpartum depression.
This is a slower moving story but I really appreciated how Fenney highlighted each main character being both good and bad. The mother-daughter relationships were tumultuous, wrought with emotion and built on far reaching mistakes.
The audio had two amazing narrators but I definitely would have benefitted from having a different narrator for each main character because the voices were quite similar and it wasn’t always easy to distinguish between the characters. Still, a fun & attention grabbing listen/read....more

Typically that has my name written all over it. sadly though, this one kinda disappointed me. It was too predictable and I honestly felt a bit bored listening after awhile, which pains me to say. I've enjoyed this author's books in the past but this one just didn't do it for me. An Ok thriller overall but not one I'll remember much about later....more
