It is a very powerful novel the contains family drama with narcissistic parents who abuse instead of love. Allegra is grown now with a husband and two children. She is happy but the flashbacks she is having remind her of the trauma she endured as a child. Her parents are not what she thinks. This book takes you on an emotional journey where you feel sadness one moment and happiness another. The author has an ability to tell a story that keep the reader engaged and wanting to continue reading to see the results of what happens. Beautiful and gut wrenching, you will want to read this one. The redemption and joy that comes will have you jumping for joy.

I love this book and……well……. It brought back joy into my life, love to my future, and hope that it will all blend well together. This book has great characters that are well developed and that will have you, the reader, jumping for joy when the protagonist gets what she wants or well, what he wants? Who knows, you will have to read this one to figure out who you want to root for the most. Overall this was one of my top 5 books so far in the romance genre.

Unfortunately, as a Christian, I had some nasty conversations with God and I guess I can say I really hated God at that point. Why would he do this to me. I am not saying this book changed the way I saw God but it did help me realize that I needed to understand that God sis here for me. I just need to have the faith of a mustard seed. Regardless of how I felt, Gods love for me was way greater than my hate towards him. Did I really hate him, no…..I was just at that point in the grief process. This book challenges you to stay and use your senses. See him, feel him, and speak his name. I know that it should be taste but I am not sure it fits here. I really think that some authors really know how to speak to their readers. This book has really helped me in my search for my inner quest to have a better relationship with God and understand grief better. I am not alone with my pain and many people have endured the same issues I have. Death and grief are inseparable and you will learn to find your way and in the end, the pain will start to get less and less but still there only more manageable. God loves us all and understands the pain we are feeling.

Paine is a well written thriller that keeps you wondering all the way to the end. The only thing I wish was that it were longer. I loved The Teaching and how it was based on true events from the authors own life in a cult. There are few authors that can captivate readers from all genres and I think Paine certainly has what it takes to do so. While I love Novella’s, I just wanted more of Marcus Crawford, Crystal and Hannah. Maybe she should not have gotten in his car for real.

This is a very well written book that is very descriptive and certainly allows the reader to understand that certain things had to be done in that time frame.
The Nazis are ready to fight Paris and those that can are fleeing the city. There are many left behind though and this is where we meet our protagonist……Camille Lacroix is a Jewish chambermaid for the Ritz hotel and until ww2 everything was going well for her. Now while others are fleeing Paris, she must stay and help her family survive as they were not able to get out early enough. The Ritz, was a very famous hotel bringing in customers from all over the world. Camille also worked as a private maid for an American widow named Vivian Miller. Vivian and Camille work together to do what is necessary to survive, but can they?
This is a very hard book to read because it shows the bad in other people and what that bad can do.

There are so many facets at play here and each one will have you questioning whether or not the characters will leave you emotionally drained or emotionless. Summer and Gil meet under less than favorable circumstances and yet they continue to talk and work through the issues such as Gil’s daughter Lizzie who put her hands on Summer leaving Gil to worry about losing his daughter. But Summer understands the issues facing Gil and his daughter. Yet Summer also has something else going on, she has plans of stopping the Minas Basin tidal energy project and Gil just might get in her way. However, it might also seem as though maybe there is a little more developing between the two of them.

There seems to be more that needs to be told and I felt as though the author had a certain agenda that he wanted to share with the reader and maybe save some of the main information for a second book maybe? If this were a movie there would absolutely be a sequel to it. The story of the Yoder family is full of poison, greed, secrets and betrayal. Spouses, children, and friends who live in a world where things may not be what it seems. This could have had more information and less filter and all wrapped up in one book. However let me say that what this book contains is a very scary and very true subject matter and I do appreciate the descriptive nature, research , time put into writing this book and the pictures included. The author took great care to ensure the reader had lots of details and could come to their own conclusions. Certainly worth the read if you enjoy true crime as I do. I really did enjoy this book and all of the effort and research the author put into it. I had never heard of this crime and it honestly goes to show you that there really are boogey men out there…….

Rae has an uncanny ability to write stories that capture your heart and have you rooting for the protagonist. Would you go back in time to try to work things out with your first love? I probably would but for me that time is long gone. However the characters in this one are so well developed and the build up of the story could not be more perfect. An NFL player married to a supermodel…..please. What has she got that Hannah doesn’t? Well back in high school nothing. Brock Martin lived to impress Hannah. But now it looks like fate has a different plan for the both of them. Can Hannah win her true love back again, or is it over for the both of them even with some traveling to the past?

The fact that it was a short story made it a much better choice for most who enjoy mysteries. A detective working on his first case to find a stolen diamond. But can he let go of the demons that surround him on a daily basis and work with a police officer in order to locate what so many others want? The characters are somewhat developed to the point that they almost seem real. If this had a little more work done to it, I think it would be a great book.

This had a bit more Christianity than I thought but it was still a very impressive and interesting read. The author showed how just because one may have addiction or alcoholism issues, that it does not mean that you will never be forgiven and able to continue on with your life after all of the bad that you have experienced. The buildup of the characters was very impressive and well done. This is the first time I have read something by Darroch but feel as though it is a well written novel that brings out the best in her characters. The story itself brings emotions that take you all over the spectrum. I was rooting for the two main characters to start a relationship and once they did it was an emotional roller coaster. Overall, once you get through the issues that may tear a relationship apart, and are still together, it is a perfect feel good novel. You really need to get your copy and read this amazingly well thought out book.

Odin was a trained support dog This is one of the better books that I have read where the protagonist is a dog. In this case it is the story of Odin. Odin was a trained support dog and began working for a wheelchair bound man who needed Odin until he started a relationship with a woman who had two teenage children. One day during play time with Odin and the teens, Odin did something that really was not his fault. The teens were playing very rough with Odin and they said he bit them. Obviously it was not really a bite but his owner surrendered him to the animal shelter with strict directions to euthanize him. One day thought Odin’s savior walked into the pound with the goal of adopting Odin and training him for something greater. Yet there was a problem. Odin was stuck. Because Odin was placed with the restriction of euthanasia, he could not be adopted out until his previous owner gave permission for Odin to be adopted. This is where Odin’s story changes. His previous owner decided that he wanted to put a price on him……a hefty price. Yet the rescuer decided that he wanted Odin so bad that he would pay the cost of Odin. Now Odin is living his best life and writing books about his life,, just kidding. The author does an amazing job of telling Odin’s story and making sure that the real reasons are told. This is a true story and a beautiful one. You can’t help but to fall in love with Odin and his new handler.

This definitely has it all, espionage, mystery, and family drama. Teagan and Todd have tried for sometime to have a baby only to experience sadness with miscarriage after miscarriage. Dealing with the loss Teagan decides to travel to Paris in hopes of helping out Project Rebound. In her thirties Teagan wants to help women who were kidnapped from their hometown in the Middle East. This will hopefully take her mind off of her inability to conceive and let Todd concentrate on his work back home. The narration takes us from past to present and does so in a way that the reader can follow without losing sight of the story. Yet we learn that those who are close to Teagan actually are not as close as she thinks as it is her friend that puts a hit out on her to start with. This has a strong female lead, espionage, murder, and lots of drama that will keep the reader enthralled and entertained from the start. And the fact that this will be made into television will certainly have you wanting more and realizing that it will come. But at what cost?
