It was super sad at times in the coverage of this horrible atrocity. I honestly can’t believe that people were treated like that and that they still are to this day.

I really, really loved this book! The book focuses on a young adult biracial Native American woman who works undercover as a CI for the FBI to figure out how meth is being distributed in her community. Her tribe and especially the Elders play an important role in the book. The characters are all incredibly well written. The plot had me guessing the entire time!
This book is OWN Voices by a Native American author who is part of We Need Diverse Books and this is their debut novel. What an amazing debut!
Because the book covers so many serious topics, this book may be triggering for some readers.

One of the girls lives in New York and the other girl lives in the Dominican Republic. This story is about what happens when they realize that their lives collide. I love how the story is told through poetry! I think it has good LGBTQIA’s+ rep. The serious issues that this story includes: underage pregnancy, underage smoking, underage prostitution, offscreen attempted rape or actual rape it’s kind of hard to figure out what happened, trauma and depression and death and having two families.
