Her new boss, handsome Benny Taylor, travels from town to town with his 3 legged dog seeking out antiques and other household items for his shop. Both unattached, they quickly become friends and then more. A heart warming small town romance full of life, love and family. Engaging characters and a flowing storyline. I loved the path that Carolyn Brown creates of two very different people finding each other, love and a future together.

The two older women have a history together with secrets, from many years ago, resulting in an animosity between them. This allows for Matt and Julia's fates to intersect resulting in an undeniable connection. It took me awhile to connect to this story as I found it confusing at times. While not my favourite book by Kerry Lonsdale overall it's an enjoyable read.

It's so much fun to re-visit characters from the previous two books and to meet new characters who have come to this wonderful town. Berkley moves to town to start a new life and run the "Love Shack Animal Shelter" when she bumps into Lawson (it's the cat's fault) who is trying to forget his past and start anew. They are part of each other's past so escaping it just isn't going to happen. What remains is a wonderful, heart-warming story! The animals are a hoot and if you haven't met Kathleen she makes a few exciting appearances too.

Painters Mill Chief of Police Kate Burkholder I loved this 16th book in Linda Castillo's "Kate Burkholder" series! One of my all-time favourite series! Painters Mill Chief of Police Kate Burkholder receives an urgent, middle of the night call summoning her to a suspicious fire in the woods. What she discovers is a charred body. According to the coroner, the deceased is an Amish man who was chained to a stake and burned alive. Kate, previously Amish, knows that the Amish community prefer to handle their problems within their own community. From what she is able to piece together the victim led an extremely troubled life and had recently been excommunicated. The suspect list rapidly begins to grow. A captivating plot and suspenseful read! It is always a pleasure to revisit the characters I have become quite attached to in Painters Mill. I can hardly wait for the next Kate Burkholder story.

I was totally captivated by this novel based on the life of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. This richly detailed novel is well-researched and beautifully written. Jackie is the story of a woman, deeply private, who led many lives filled with love and power, family and tragedy, loss and reinvention. Historical fiction at it's best!

Her most recent novels have been historical fiction and she has proven she can write anything. With rich historical details this fictional story is based on the Outlaw Butch Cassidy. The author gives us a tale of love, self-sacrifice and redemption. The Outlaw Noble Salt is a unique and captivating alternate ending to an American Legend of the Old West.
