It is ill-advised to incur the wrath of a faery, but it is most foolish to do so of a faery queen…

A high fantasy paranormal romance by NYT Award Winning Author Michelle M. Pillow

"Those who are hardy and brave will applaud this tale of love." RT Magazine

At first sight, Queen Tania of the Faeries knows that Hugh, Earl of Bellemare, is her one true love. Yet a year has passed since he promised to return, and now she knows he never intended to come back. With her mood darkening and her castle tarnishing, Tania vows to teach Hugh a lesson he’ll never forget. That no human should dare deceive a faery queen. In her despair, she turns to King Lucien of the Damned, and swears a blood vow that risks the fate of all the faeries—and Hugh’s soul.

Suspicious of the magical world, Hugh wishes he’d never discovered the truth of what was beyond the mortal realm. Noble duty consumes his time—but not his heart. He lost that to the seductive Queen Tania, who surely wanted him only as her plaything. Despite his vow to forget the teasing nymph, she haunts his every thought. When he finds himself kidnapped by the demon king and back in Tania’s arms, Hugh cannot resist her charms. But with his family’s safety at stake and the land at war, he must return to his home. Even if it means destroying Tania’s life.

In a war-ridden land, destiny rides on the wings of a faery queen and on the will of an earl who refuses to acknowledge their love.

Warning: This book contains sexy times, violence, a castle full of amorous faeries, a vengeful queen succumbing to her darker thoughts and the human she would make her plaything.

Queen Tania of the Faeries is tired of waiting for Hugh, the Earl of Bellemare, to come back to her. A year has passed since his commitments pulled him from her side and she-s begun to suspect he never intended to return. Disheartened, the queen-s mood darkens until she finds she has no choice but to teach the earl a lesson he will never forget-that no human should dare lie to a faery queen.

Hugh-s hatred of the magical world is well known and he wishes to live out the rest of his life in the mortal realm, doing his noble duty. Too bad his heart hasn't caught up to his head. Thoughts of a tenaciously seductive queen haunt him, even as he knows the woman only wanted him as a plaything for her bed. But it would seem he can-t run far enough, for the teasing nymph won-t back down and Hugh finds himself at the mercy of a vengeful faery.

Very entertaining book 2 in this series and it was enjoyable. The book didn't only focus on the main characters Tania and Huge, it gave us a bit of everyone from the first book. I liked that it was very entertaining felt connected to both characters.

Storyline: GOOD
Intimacy: GOOD
Enjoyment: GOOD

The FAERY QUEEN is the second book in the Realm Immortal trilogy by Michelle M. Pillow. Normally I instantly fall in love with Ms Pillow's books, but, like the first one, I just didn't seem to quite get into this story. The plot moves a little faster than the first one, though. This dark fantasy romance, had plenty of chills and destruction. It is steamy and dramatic, with a rage-filled queen.

Following The King of the Unblessed, this part of the trilogy focuses more on Hugh, Earl of Bellemare and the Fairy Queen Tania. Their story is full of misunderstandings, betrayal and adventure. The other supporting characters' storylines continue as well, giving us insights into what they are up to.

Having solved the issue with his sister Julianna and Merrick, the dark elfin King of Valdis along with the King of the Damned's sinister manipulations, Hugh, Earl of Bellemare and his brothers head home. Thanking Fairy Queen Tania for her help and hospitality, Hugh promised to return, but circumstances keep preventing his return.

Tania and the fairies are meant to dwell with light, happiness and beautiful things, but when Hugh doesn't return as promised Queen Tania spirals out of control. She has fallen into a deep depression allowing the immortal realm to start turning darker and die. In turn, King Lucien of the Damned is able to take over more of the realm with his evil.

Queen Tania of the Feia, fairies, fell in love when Earl Hugh Bellemare, Lord Thomas Bellemare, Juliana Bellemare and Lord Nicholas arrived. The Queen helped Juliana and King Merrick of the Unblessed get together, keeping Hugh captive, while the females of her Court kept Thomas and Nicholas extremely busy. Hugh promised to return to ‘settle’ with her after he ‘saved’ Juliana. Meanwhile Merrick and his brother were at war. King Ean of Blessed had gotten angry at Merrick taking of Juliana because the Bellemare’s were blessed and are his ‘wards’. Tania and fairies are meant to only deal with light, happy and beautiful things and she is upset that Hugh never returned as promised. William Bellemare, the youngest is an apprentice wizard.

King Lucien of the Damned is terrifying in his endeavors. I feel bad for Mia. Upon returning from the Immortal Realm, Bellemare lands and things upon it were slowly going awry. Known for breeding amazing horses, the Bellemares had never before had a still birth of two of the foals until that night and they were nightmarishly deformed. Jeez, Thomas is absolutely hysterical and I love him lol.because he has not kept his word, and Tania keeps watch over Hugh, she is changing. Plot twists! Some good, a lot bad.

Awesome read. Can’t wait for the next book!.

When Hugh, Earl of Bellemare, and his brothers came to the Immortal Realm to rescue their sister from the King of the Unblessed, they were delayed, actually held, in the castle of the Faeries. While there, Tania, Queen of Faeries, fell in love with Hugh. When he left, he promised when he found his sister and took care of things at Bellemare. A year has passed and Hugh has not returned. Furious and determined to have Hugh, she makes a deal with Lucien, King of the Damned. Lucien, as is his way, twisted their agreement to suit his goals. He brought Hugh to her, but in a way that meant he could never return home. Although furious, Hugh wanted Tania, and since they had already fallen in love with each other, they became lovers. Will the earl become the second member of his family to make the Immortal Realm his home? This is another exciting story in this world of contradictions, good and evil, mortal and immortal, fantasy and reality. The complex characters introduced in the first book are all here. Lucien continues his evil effort to take control of the Mortal and Immortal Realms. The war between Ean and Merrick continues. Twists, turns, deception, the absence of Juliana, and the changes in Hugh are central to the plot, and lay the foundation for what comes next.

Well I think it is safe to say that Hugh is the very epitome of a human male. Determined that he knows best and that all women are out to trick him. Thing is he would not have caught Queen Tania's attention if he had not been quite such a complete bloke in the first place. He has to leave to save his family but he promised to come back for her but he didn't. Tania waited for the male who captured her heart completely against her intent but there was something so different about him and she couldn't help being caught in his web, despite the fact she was the one who was meant to be casting the spells. When he didn't return though she goes to the only one who can bring him to her but also the only person that Hugh possibly hates more than any other. She hopes that with Hugh being back with her she can convince him to stay but all he sees is more tricks. Will Hugh ever see the truth or is he determined not to?
Loved this so much. You just want to shake Hugh for being almost purposefully dense and tell Tania that games will never get you want you truly want.

“First, I rescue my sister. Then, I’ll be back to settle with you.”

Hugh's parting words to the faery Queen in the previous book are just one of several things with consequences playing out in this grand tale of magic, an immortal realm, and perhaps most intriguing of all, a place where necessary evil is acknowledged amid the balance between good and evil.

Tania is a faery... a being of all things good and light, and she's about to discover just how challenging, and painful the path to true love can be.

While this boom can stand on its own, I feel it is a much richer read having read book one first, and recently. Merrick, is in this story, the events of his book are highly relevant, and this book is more than just the story of one couple, it is a story of this world, of the machinations of Lucien (that's the king I want to avoid), and of two families trying to maintain their sibling connections/bonds through all life throws at them.

I was gifted with a copy of Faery Queen, and chose to share my thoughts.

I must say I liked this book better than the first one but that might be because I knew who everyone was and a lot about the magical realm from the first book. This one is mostly about Hugh and Queen Tania, though King Lucien shows up a bit too often. Hugh's brothers are also heavily involved and King's Merrick and Ean have small parts to play.

Queen Tania has been changing ever since it became clear that Hugh, Earl of Bellemare, was not planning on returning to her castle or even her realm. Her hair, face, and attitude have begun to turn dark and she is not good company to the faeries she rules. In a last ditch effort to get Hugh back, she does the unthinkable - she makes a deal with King Lucien of the Damned. But Lucien has plans of his own for Hugh and he does his best to make sure Tania and Hugh so never really be together.

Faeries, elves, a zombie, and unicorns, this book has it all. Can a Faerie Queen and a human Earl really make a relationship work? Maybe. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the second book of the Realm of the Immortal series. Truthfully, it's very engaging, but a bit darker than what I normally read. Queen Tania of the Faeries feels that she has been jilted by her one true mate, Hugh, a mortal man. Desperate to get him to her realm to teach him a lesson for abandoning her, she solicits the help of Lucien, King of the Damned. But faeries and the dark King of the Damned don't mix, and the duplicitous King has an agenda of his own. Will King Lucien get his way and wreak havoc on the mortal realm? Will he be able to weaken Tania to the point where he can control the faeries? Will Hugh be able to save his beloved Bellemare and his family? Will he and Tania ever get past their simmering anger with each other and give themselves a chance to love? If you like well written, dark, urban fantasy with good characters and dark twists and turns, pick up this book! Better yet, start with the first book of the series, King of the Unblessed, to get the back story to the characters in this book.

Queen Tania of the Faeries had fell in love with Lord Hugh when he was last in her kingdom. He promised to come back to find her but he never did and now a year later her powers are slowly dying.

She made a pact with King Lucien of the Damned so that he could bring Hugh back to her. Lucien did as she asked but twisted it so that Hugh could never return home. When Hugh found out he had been kidnapped and brought back to Tania, he was furious, but as he’d always wanted her, they became lovers.

I really enjoyed this second adventure into this series. Absolutely brilliant characters as well as the passion, there are lots of twists and turns keeping you guessing as to what will happen next.

There is so much more going on than my review, you really do need to read this series. What an amazing author.

This is the continued storyline following the "blessed" Bellemare family and their adventure in the immortal realm. This story focuses mainly on Hugh, the earl of Bellemare and the faery queen Tania though the other supporting characters storylines continue as well. Tania had fallen into a deep depression after Hugh and his brothers returned to their home at Bellemare. As depression takes over the faery queen the immortal realm begins to turn darker and die. As the faery magic lessens Lucien the damned king is able to take over more of the realm with his evil. Tania in desperation makes a bargain with Lucien to return Hugh to her. She doesn't realize the dire consequences this will have. Can she win back Hugh's heart and save her world or will this be the end. Guess you will have to read to find out.

I have really enjoyed how this series is unfolding. This is the story of Tania the faerie queen and Hugh, the mortal Earl of Bellemare. Details set in motion in book 1 are now being expanded on revealing more about this battle between the Blessed and the Unblessed. As someone that really enjoys fantasy, I really liked The world building and unique abilities of so many of the magical characters. While the plot has many twists, I was always pressed to read on hoping that things would turn out the way I wanted while putting together more pieces to the plot puzzle. Although some situations and plot details were resolved by the end, others clearly were not. I can’t wait to read the next novel in the series if that is where the big finale occurs!

Queen Tania and Earl Hugh met in book one of this series and now have their own story. I don’t usually like stories that make use of the idea that a couple doesn’t get together because of a series of mistakes but I love Michelle M. Pillow’s writing and I greatly enjoyed the first book in this series so I gave it a try. I’m glad that I did because I enjoyed this book a lot. It’s quite a jump for a romance author to try this type of involved fantasy fiction but Ms. Pillow has done a marvelous job with the building of the two worlds and their combined history. As usual she populates these worlds with interesting characters that have interesting adventures and of course she adds love. Simply marvelous.

The second book of the Immortal Realm series, I recommend reading the first book to get a good sense of the characters. Queen Tania has hoped Hugh, Earl of Bellemere, would return to her as he promised for a year but enough is enough and she is tired of waiting. She makes a pact and Hugh is brought back to Faery but treachery, betrayal, dark deeds and death surrounds them all. King Lucien is still plotting and playing his dark games. Kings Ean and Merrick are still at war and something is not right with Juliana. A twisting, turning plot that keeps you on your toes but with a HFN to hold us over to book 3 - can’t wait!.

Let me tell you Book 2 of the Realm Immortal Series is every bit as good as the fist one.
Hell hath no fury like a FAERY QUEEN scorned!
A year has gone by and Hugh, the Earl of Bellemare, has not returned to Queen Tania. So she takes matters into her own hands and makes - rather selfishly if I might add - a blood bargain with the highest of all demons Lucian who has his own nefarious plans for Hugh. Hugh blames Tania for his sister’s choice in husband and Tania is determined to punish him for breaking her heart. What a couple! Can they sort their problems and make a relationship work or are a faery queen and a human earl just too different?
Read for yourself, it’s definitely worth it! ;).

Like the setup for this read; Fae Queen Tania thinks love of her life Hugh has forsaken her, but there’s more going on than that. Tania doesn’t exactly handle the perceived slight well, so she makes a risky bargain. Hugh thinks Tania wasn’t fully honest in her feelings, so he hasn’t tried harder for her, and he’s dealing with some stuff at home. Both of these characters aren’t the best at reading situations, so they tend to make bad decisions. I didn’t fully love either character, but they do have some good steam together. Plus, there’s some sweet moments. I’d say a 3.5 for this; rounded up to a 4 because the story is an entertaining one!

Another fantasy series from Michelle M Pillow who writes great paranormal supernatural magical fantasies with very interesting and engaging characters filled with intrigue, magic, otherworldly, humour, romance and sex.
Even if you have not read book 1 King of the Blessed the background needed for this unfolding episode into the Immortal Realm series is revealed so could be read as stand alone, but if you enjoy this book highly recommend book 1 on Merrick and Lady Juliana especially before embarking on book 3 which I cannot wait to start.

I really enjoyed this second story in the Realm Immortal series. I loved the interactions between Queen Tania and Hugh, Earl of Bellemare. She knew that they were mates long before Hugh did. He goes back to his home to take of things and even though he wants to go back to Tania, he can't seem to find the right time. Tania is not happy with how long it is taking him to come back and you don't want to upset a Faery let alone the Queen of the Faeries. She makes a deal with another and soon he is back in her arms. What will happen when trouble follows them?

Tania is the Faery Queen. She is waiting for Hugh Earl of Bellemare to return as he promised. Now, she can’t forgive him for forgetting about her.
Hugh is a human on a mission to find and save his sister in this new world. Now, he has returned to the human world. Yet, he still remembers the chemistry the Faery Queen invoked.
This second book continues the saga of the other world in this trilogy. Good story with humans, elves, Faery, demons, sprites, unicorns, magical beings, kidnapping, adventures, twists, danger, and deal with the devil.

Faery Queen is the second book in the Realm Immortal series by Michelle M. Pillow.

This is a dark fantasy romance book that was filled with much steam and action.

Queen Tania fell in love with Earl Hugh. Hugh promised Queen Tania to come back after handling some business at Bellemare. However, after a year has passed and still no sign of coming back. Which made Queen Tania angry and began to take actions.

This was such a fun book. I loved the adventure aspect of it and the passion and all the twists and turns and hoops of the story. It was a great read.

Hugh, Earl of Bellemare is suspicious of the magical realm. Whilst his heart is still tied to Tania, Queen of the faeries, he feels compelled in his duty to the mortal world and to protect his family. Tania waited for him to return but when he failed to do so, she struck a bargain with King Lucien.
I thoroughly enjoyed this the second book in the series. Fabulous characters and a delightfully twisting plot make for a great read.

4 1/2 star -This story is about Queen Tania of the Faeries and Hugh, Earl of Bellemare. Tania is frustrated and angry that Hugh hasn't returned to her. She engages in a plan to get her man. She's had enough so she makes a deal with King Lucien of the Damned. What ensues with Hugh or is he also being led astray by King Lucien plans, and the friends and family interferences created a story with drama, twist and turns, and romance that was enjoyable to read in the second story in this trilogy. As this is book 2 of a trilogy I must review it as such. If I could disconnect it from book 1, King of the Unblessed I may feel differently, but alas, I can not.

It did feel the whole gambit of emotions which is always good. Plus it did have a good amount of super hot sexy bits which is even better. However, the plot just fell flat and seemed too convoluted to me.

You may well enjoy the book much more than myself. This is just my own opinion.

I wasn't aware that there was a previous book, but that did not take away from this book at all since there was a recap in the beginning of the book. This book was a page turner and so very interesting. It was a story of all the kingdoms in the immortal world and the human world. I did not want to like Tania or Hugh for that matter, but I ended up really enjoying their story.

Hugh and Tania's story is the second book in this trilogy and should be read after reading King of the Unblessed to get the most from the book. The characters are interesting and well-drawn but their journey, is far from easy, they have to deal with betrayals and misunderstandings on their adventure. The storyline for me was not as good as the first book but was still enjoyable and gave us a chance to catch up with Merrick and Juliana.

Great!!!

Really great fun read with fairies, mortal humans, wars, hear break and intrigue! So much to unpack from book one, to wo, and beyond! If you love reading about the fae realm, and how they do or don’t interact well with humans, this is the book for you. Fae Queen Tania, mortal Hugh, and their very bumpy romance!!.

Amazing!

And frustrating! There were times I wanted to curse and smack Hugh upside the head but the storyline sorted itself out. Continuing from book 1, this part of the trilogy focuses more on Hugh, Earl of Bellemare and the Fairy Queen Tania. We do get bits of the other characters as we continue on this saga.
