Oh man. The author should have just ended this series 1-2 books ago. Everything annoyed me.
Heroine apologizing to her cheating ex husband got me annoyed, hero expecting the heroine to drop everything to play mother to his son. His ex antics were ott. Heroine thinking every woman was a bimbo with big tits, hero calling his ex a ho.
And I’ve come to find out Derek’s book/series is next and damn it of course I will read it! 🙄
Anyway everything was so predictable even heroine’s pregnancy!

I will say this, this is one of the most loyal heroes- there is if I’ve ever read one. When the OW tried to kiss him he quickly moved away, he wasn’t caught off guard. He was quick to remove himself from being kiss. He put her in her place without being an asshole which I liked. He told her that what she did was sexual harassment and that if she can’t respect his relationship with his girlfriend that they can’t work together so he basically fired her, told her that he would give her the grace to quit so “this” doesn’t follow her everywhere but if she doesn’t he’ll fired her. And that ladies and gents is how a man stay faithful to his girlfriend/SO.

Loved Cleo and Deacon’s story

I enjoyed this finale of Cleo and Deacon’s story, especially the HEA and that Thanksgiving scene, hah! However, I enjoyed the 3 previous books more. I grew a bit frustrated at times with what felt like some repetitive problems and internal dialogue that didn’t always feel like it had evolved enough. For the most part though, this was a great series, highly addictive, and I’m excited to see what awesome Derek is like as a grown up! He’s one of my favorite characters for sure, and a saving grace in so many ways.

Omg I loved this series so much...yes sometimes Cleo was too accommodating with Deacon and I would have loved her to be a little more challenging, but in general this story was lovely and Deacon was a great hero.
A bit sad now that it ended, but looking forward to read the spin off of Derek's story, even though not yet ready to read about older Cleo&Deacon.

I didn’t mind the slow burn of the previous three books, but this one really had nothing to say. Everything that made this series interesting (his brilliance, the well-thought out and realistic minutiae of her job as a concierge to wealthy people, his son) took a back seat here, so the meandering plot, repetitious phrasing and pet names just became more obvious.

2.5 stars for a book that probably didn’t need to exist.

I hate continuation books because by the time you get to the end it's obvious the story could have been told in one book (there's also the amount of money you're having to spend). I persevered with this story because each book was releasing a month after each other but I wish I hadn't bothered with this one. I liked book 1 & 2 but book 3 went downhill and this one was as bad. It was so predictable and I found myself bored and skipping.

Then we get to the end to find the author has continued the story with his son Derek who is now an adult but the teaser for his book did not persuade me to read his story which sounds like a rehash of his Dad's book and the author seems to have changed the sweet Derek we read as a child in these books into a horrible person. No thanks.

3.25 stars.

i came back to this after rereading certain parts and there are lots of things to be discussed. truthfully, i believe this series could have only been told between two books. there was a lot of unnecessary drama intertwined in book three and four and cleo became a doormat at times. but i do love cleo and deacon, and the epilogue made this story for me.

5 stars for The Man Who has No Sight by Victoria Quinn. This is book four in the Soulless series. This is the last book in Cleo and Deacon’s story. It was a great ending for these characters. I will say I was not sure what was going to happen between them with everything that happened in the last book. “His soul touched mine, wrapped around it, and cushioned it from all the terrible things in this world.” I loved this series and how Victoria Quinn wrote it. I felt pulled into the drama and love between these two. I have to say this is for sure a must read.

4 books to tell one story …

If not for kindle unlimited I would not have read these books. The story could’ve been told with one book. There was so much extraneous dialogue that I felt like I was drowning in it and to save myself I skimmed pretty much this last book entirely.

While the next book sounds interesting I cannot commit to this again (books in parts for this series)

This was such a cute read. I really love the story in the characters. I really have grown so love this type of character where the man or woman is just so intelligent they have no social skills I'm really excited to read more from this author.

What happens when you get all that you wanted? You get domestic of course.

As I said in my review of the previous novel, we could have wrapped there and I would have been okay. This was just a long epilogue of domestic and fundamental issues. Everyday questions and situations that couples sometimes forget to discuss with themselves or each other.

Like, if we have kids, who will take care of them? How many sacrifices am I willing to make to be with this person?

Deacon and Cleo have now moved into the part of the mini-series - let's call it what it is - where they decide what forever looks like. With it came a lot of the day to day we are used to from book one but without the newness of navigating a crush or budding relationship. The masks are off and they have to confront what life will be like when Valerie gives in to her selfish ways and all they want comes with side effects none of them thought to plan towards.

I found myself missing the cold Deacon. I understand the need for growth in a series but I needed him to have this basic character flaw of his high intellect. I also felt like Cleo became less confident with each novel. If you are reduced to tears and the shakes to share what should be good news with your significant other, then probably you need to evaluate some things. I also missed Tucker and their brother bonding. We got some but it has reduced significantly.

By the end, it was clear to me that this was just a stunt to sell more books. Especially because the author writes so well. She could have tackled this story in two well-spaced books. Four books over one year is excessive.

As such, a lot of flaws became apparent to me. Chief among them is how any woman who wasn't Cleo was treated. If you have a forever kind of love, then why should every other woman be seen and treated as less?

That uncertain connection from book one got lost. I loved their domestic fights but that was as intense as this novel got.

Fans of chick-lit will probably cum in their panties over this one because it hit all the notes of that genre. Even though I don't share the love for that genre, I was still kept entertained enough to comfortably breeze through this series. That is the only reason I will give this book three instead of two stars.

Sweet conclusion

Cleo and Deacon finally get their happily ever after and because we read 3 whole books to get there we were rewarded with what could basically be a 300 page epilog.

Because of that I won't say anything about the story because if you got this far, you already like the writing and the characters. Now just buckle up and see how life works out for then.

They’ve turned a corner. There’s a slow build and evolution to what Deacon and Cleo are and what they can become. They way they feel about one another hasn’t changed and it’s just a matter of getting to the comfort level that they were at before that is necessary for them to move on.

What we have in this fourth installment though is a turn of progress in the entire nature of the story. Valeri shows her true colors with her role of being a mother. Deacon assumed that she had gotten pregnant on purpose all those years ago to suck him in and take his money. To have the life that she always wanted but had no chance of achieving on her own. It’s proven yet again when her relationship with Jake takes a new turn, and we see that she’s prioritizing that over Derek and everything else.

That means that we get to see Deacon turn into the full time parent, and at the same time, take advantage of Cleo’s generosity. He doesn’t realize what it means to be a single parent of sorts, to be the one that’s responsible for his child, and when he doesn’t want to compromise on a solution, it causes even bigger issue. Cleo has to put her job aside when she shouldn’t in order to take care of Derek an when she’s offered up the idea of a nanny, Deacon shoots it down. It’s frustrating as a reader to see how unwilling he is to find a solution, but at the same time, it’s admirable that he wants to be so hands on.

There are other parts to the story that we see evolve. Tucker’s relationship with Pria seems to be continuing on the same strong path and Pria seems to be a great girl. We get to see the more mature side of Tucker as well when Cleo needs a shoulder to lean on. We watch Margo really show her true mamma colors when there’s an unfortunate circumstance during Thanksgiving and that makes us love her even more.

What you’ll remember from the last story before Deacon and Cleo went down the wrong path in their relationship, there was talk about marriage. Talk about babies. Hope for the future. We know that’s all put on pause, but I think that we still want to see it happen. Cleo even goes to visit her ex husband because she’s come to a realization of sorts that her marriage to him wasn’t out of the right sort of love.

Oh, and don’t forget Kathleen Hawthorne – the dr that we know is interested in Deacon and that puts Cleo on edge. You’ll have to read this story to fully understand what goes down there and what it means for their future.

We’re left with a resolution and closure of sorts to their story – seeing what could have been and what will be for Deacon and Cleo and Derek and Valerie. I get the sense now that we’re going on a new journey with a ‘boy’ instead of a ‘man’ so I can’t wait to dive into the next book ASAP

Derek was a scene stealer 😁💟

This entire series was very interesting. Deacon Hamilton was an enigma, you just couldn't figure him out. But he finally came into his own when he finally found his courage and backbone, and stood up to the she devil ex-wife of his Valerie. I love the way he stood his ground and told her under no circumstance can she take their son Derek away. I cannot believe that she would just walk away from such a sweet boy. The Thanksgiving dinner scene between Valerie and Dragon's mother Margo, priceless!!!!😁. Kudos for Margo for finally putting that damn Valerie in her place. And what Cleo did with her phone, classic. That entire dinner scene O was cracking up when Valerie finally showed her true colors. She's a sorry excuse for a mother. Cleo had me on a rollercoaster ride with her dilemma, the twist and turns, and finally she faced her fear head on. Deacon surprised me! I was not expecting that reaction from him. The weekend at the cabin with Derek and his father, Had me swooning. What they did for Cleo, Had my heart melting. I'm so glad that she finally got her family and her happy ending. Whatever happened to Dragon's brother Tucker, and his girlfriend Prea? Did they get their happily everafter? I'm looking forward to reading Derek's story him being all grown-up.

The beginning of this story was promising.. But I didn't like the ending of this series..

Their relationship is sick and un healthy... He controls everything.. Gets mad with her. Breaks up with her when he doesn't like something.. Takes his sweet time until he is calmer.. Then he brings back his (maid/slave)
she is so scared to do any thing that will make him break up with her.. She hided her pregnancy..
She is so stupid that she need him to give her the idea of asking for a rise from her boss after nearly 10 years of slaving for the rich residents.... Oh and when she was fired she had no money to live of.. When the author was telling us from book one that she gets a big fat salary from her big job!!! 7 years and she doesn't have savings!!!!!!
How stupid is that.

Anyway.. I don't recommend you read it.. Unless you like characters like:

ML: you Maid jump.
FL: my Master.. How high.
ML: I don't want you anymore.
FL: please Master don't throw me away.
ML: Slave/Maid.. You may come back and live under my foot.

Sorry ladies but that is how I felt when I was reading this series.

I saw this series through to the end, but I agree with other readers; this could have been two books and not four. This final book in the series had me rolling my eyes so hard. So much time and so many words rehashing over and over again how this couple worshipped each other. It’s like, ok, we get it, you’re in love. Your super hot. Your ass is perfect. You’re so good with my kid. Blah blah blah.
And some of the sex scenes came off as misplaced, gratuitous, and cring-y instead of sexy.
Also, I started to really dislike Cleo. She started out so strong in the beginning, and I would rather the author keep her there, learning hard lessons and becoming even stronger, rather than repeat past relationship mistakes and come off as increasingly cowardly.
Even with the predictable but welcome HEA, this was a disappointment. Two stars instead of one because Deacon’s brother is so entertaining.

Well what can I say about this book....hmmm? Deacon and Chloe's relationship is definitely a rocky one. Deacon takes it for granted that Chloe will drop whatever she's doing and do whatever he wants! What an arrogant man!!!! But glad that Chloe stands up for herself and put's Deacon on notice...lol.
Valerie is just a bitch! She thinks that she should have everything handed to her on a silver platter. But thankfully Chloe out-smarted her and helped Deacon out. I just felt sorry for Derek. No kid should be treated like that.
But at one point in the book, I was surprised what Deacon did....it was just awesome. If you want to know, you will just have to read the book...lol. Promise you won't be disappointed.
As always I love this series so far. And I can't wait to read the next book.

This was a great conclusion to an absorbing story. Experiencing the highs and lows of Cleo and Deacon's relationship and receiving a thoroughly satisfying conclusion to every little hiccup along the way made for a page turner. There is not a lot of excitement in this series but the great characterization, beautifully written dialog, and a perfect Cyrano de Bergerac moment give this story so much soul. I cannot wait to read Derek's story (Soulless book 5)

This fantastic author graciously offered me a review copy and as I love her work, I gladly accepted and because it is a great book, I am leaving this review hoping to bring her work to the attention of others.

I'm so sad that Deacon and Cleo love saga has come to end, only because I enjoyed seeing their journey. I however loved how everything came together like it should even with all the obstacle they had to faces. Now can we talk about the sneak peek we got!!! Omg what happened to Derek!!! The sweet little boy we all fell in love with. I'm so eager to see what else is in store for this series. As always my review are voluntarily no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.

A Beautiful Love Story…

This story has touched me like no other has for a while, it’s not your typical love story you would expect and I was rooting for Deacon & Cleo the whole way through the 4 books….some of the chapters are devastating. Some of Deacons traits reminded me of the Rosie Project so understanding his social challenges made the story really really sweet…..the slow burn especially in the first book was beautiful.

Give it a read I promise you won’t be disappointed.

This book is the end of Deacon and Cleo's story. These two are soulmates. Their road has not been an easy one. It was simply outstanding. Ms. Quinn has a true talent for conveying the emotions, struggles, lust and love of the characters. She can make you feel like you are right there with them as the story unfolds!!! The book took my on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. A definite must have!!! So is the series! I can not wait to get my hands on the next book!!!

What an amazing ending to Cleo and Deacon story! They are together after a huge misunderstanding but they take things slowly. Living in separate rooms makes Cleo wondering if things are ever going to be the same again. Then the bitch Valerie drops a huge bomb that seals the deal for good for Deacon and her son Derek! Deacon realizes what its like being a single parent but Cleo is always right there by his side. What an amazing read!

I really enjoyed this series so far. I love Cleo and Deacon together. Valerie remains a thorn in their side using Derek as a pawn. Deacon tries to show Derek they can still be a family even if they are not together, so he invites Valerie to Thanksgiving and that’s where things get ugly. I will miss this couple. I saw some of other reviews, don’t let them scare you off from reading this, you will be missing out

Oh my god ! How or why I read 4 of these is completely beyond me ..."I/s/he stared at xyz thing / person BLANKLY " This line made up the majority of the series nd pissed me off to no end . Also don't even get me started on the plot inconsistencies , nevermind the actual storyline which wasn't anything impressive ...even as I was reading it i knew it was going to be a 2-3 star read but still I persisted ...who knows why

Good story and writing.... BUT

I REALLY hate to do this because this book has terrific characters, the writing is good, and the story moves along with a few slow spots.

But to reach the HEA, one has to purchase four (count-em, 4) books at $6.99 each! This is simply not worth $28. I wish I hadn't spent that because it wasn't THAT good.

Recommended only if you can get it from the library.

Was there a need for 4 books no 2 would have been enough 2 500pages would have been enough . I skipped through dialogue and honestly Cleo’s went from this amazing woman that was strong on her own 2 feet to basically giving it all up for Declan and yeah I know he loves her too but man it’s like she needs his blessing to take a breath … long gone is the independent boss lady we met on book 1 now we have this wimp of a woman that is just scared to loose him
To the point of being terrified to tell him
They going to have a baby he was there during the making he even has a phd and is a dr too he knows how that goes .. that’s not healthy .. meanwhile not a second was that man worried he might loose her he might be too much or not enough for her he came across a bit of a dick tbh . Also and I repeat he’s a billionaire why is his brother not set up finically or his mum !!!!!????? He’s not so generous with Cleo either in the whole damn 4 books he got her flowers 1 time and a bracelet once for Xmas me some lingerie ( more for him than her ) and her wedding ring like dude it’s ok to spoil that woman for random reasons she does soooo fucking much she basically changed your entire life for the best and beside trauma and heartache and stress why have you giving her ??? Oh wel I guess the D is good at least there is that but wait he never gets her ready he just slides in because she’s this ever wet on legs woman with a great perky ass isn’t she …
✨ insert eye roll . ✨

The putting down other woman for boring very fast in all the 4 books there was always a woman to put down cause Cleo can’t just also be amazing and deserving no no every woman wanted to drop her panties for Declan and they were all so stunning bimbo like women but that had nothing else going on for themselves and were men girl and Cleo was not like the other girls no she was a cool girl … Cleo turned pick me when ever there was another woman involved. Also was there the need to make his colleague try to kiss him couldn’t she just be stunning and accomplished and not be interested in him lie omg it must be jarring to walk round and think that you’re some prize .

A lot of the inner monologue was repetitive and very very cringy also them having sex and her going on about her emotions for a paragraph in half is not what the people want to read there is time and place for that . I know the author wanted to show more of a realistic love story but did it need to be this boring and cringy ?

The whole thing with his brother either being a little frat boy asking weird sex questions to his brother about his brother girl that they both dated he didn’t need to date her first they could have gone on a date and relise they were not for each other Tucker was either horny or all over the place immature also the joke of him not being smart and having a regular job that somehow always seemed lesser than Declan was not nice especially since this author tried to make up think that there were very close but what kind of brother does not set his brother up financially .

Valerie made less and less sense , one moment she cried because her boy went to school the next she leaves him to go to London ??? Because jack is young and rich according to the 3 first books she’s also now either a billionaire or a 3 digit millionaire she don’t need no rich guy anymore honestly the subplots needed to be more thought out cause one day we hate Valerie the next we appreciate she was essentially a single mum … I give it 3 start cause It wasn’t not the worst book out here but not the best .

Honesty is the best policy

Cleo continues her relationship with Deacon and his son Derik becomes a full-time part of their lives. When Valerie leaves the country to be with another man, Deacon has to become both parents to Derrick while Cleo is a willing partner. Beautiful scenes of love and caring, along with conflict make this a beautiful beautiful series
