It was so great to be back in the Fifty Shades world. I know this series isn’t one everyone loves, but I always have. I feel nostalgic for it, as I’ve always been an avid book reader but this is the series that got me into reading much more romance. I loved getting Christian’s pov, and even though I already knew the story, it was nice to get certain scenes from his pov. It was reallllllly long and probably could have had a couple hours shaved from it, but overall I enjoyed. Zachary Webber does an incredible job voicing Christian. If you’re going to read this one, I can’t recommend listening enough!

Save yourself. This book was not worth the wait. I confess the previous books were guilty pleasures, but this one is excruciatingly dull. Christian likes turkey sandwiches for lunch. Sometimes he likes his coffee black, sometimes he likes espresso. When Mrs Jones suggests dinner will be ready in 20 minutes, he suggests half an hour. There is no discernible plot. There is nothing romantic. His job is boring and he seems to have fewer ideas than an average middle manager. He's obsessed with Ana, and he's also the most boring person alive. We don't need to spend any more time inside his head.

I started reading #FREED one minute after midnight on June first. Right after amazon delivered it to my kindle. But the book was soo long that I could only read 4-10% in one sitting. Which I loved. I wanted this book to last forever. I wouldn't have minded another 500 pages. I don't know why I love Christian's thoughts so much. I know I prefer a male POV in books, but still ... I loved Ana's books too. But Christian is just ... perfect. Perfectly imperfect of course.
I loved that we got to see so many moments we missed in Ana's book. And there's even more that I wanted to hear about. I wanted to walk through London and Paris with them! I really missed that.
But there were so many amazing moments in this book.
There were also some thing I hated - like I always do in most of my 5-Star-Reads.
I hate religion in my books and there was a tiny bit too much church and praying in here. 😞
And my pet peeve when it comes to British authors with their American characters. I know it's hard to get rid of all your words and expressions, but it bothers me so much! And there have been beta-reads and proof-reads and editings done by American people with this book ... why didn't they find all those many things? I highlighted SO many British moments. Ugh.
Ever since I read the first Fifty Shades book, I keep wondering why Erika didn't just let the Greys be British?? It would've been so easy to just have them move to Seattle because of a good job for Grace or Carrick. Maybe when Christian was around 10-13 years old. That way all those British moments would've made so much more sense. Plus... Jamie's Irish wouldn't have bothered me in the movies. He does a good American accent but you hear the Irish in almost ever word/sentence. 😭
Anyway. I loved this book! I loved all the moments. The beautiful and funny and adorable moments. Christian with Elliot. Christian with Mia. Christian with Ethan. All of his moments. Just beautiful.
But I will also keep on hoping that those were not the last words/thoughts of Christian we ever get. I hope that there will be more one day.
I don't know how the following idea came into my head, but somehow I see Christian with a dog. I think he needs a dog. No idea why!? I think I need a novella where he adopts a dog - a dog that loves him best. That would be so adorable!

6-10-2021: Just finished Freed and am glad to finally have Christian's POV. It is quite long and at some times boring - Christian's business life takes up alot of the book. STill one of my all time favorite series though :)
screw you all who give an unreleased book 1 star. I have been waiting and wishing for Christian's view of the 3rd installment and personally cannot wait to read it. Are they both immature 20 somethings? YES. And Miss James writes it perfectly IMO.

DNF 60%. I tried, I really did. Back in the days i loved the trilogy, and author, now, not so much, I can actually say, I distaste it. The writing style, the characters, was awful. I have no idea, have I could love this author or trilogy back then, and rate it so high, but I guess my taste changed..

This book was like coming home to an old friend. But one that you’ve kind of outgrown and you can only rehash the same old stories. Between all the bonus insights over the years, I didn’t feel like I learned anything new.

En primer lugar me gustaría dar las gracias la editorial Penguin Random House por mandarme un ejemplar de Liberado con tanta rapidez a cambio de mi reseña honesta. Y como soy una persona de palabra, aquí está la reseña más honesta que vais a leer sobre esta trilogía. Para hacerla más dinámica, la he dividido en varias partes.
1. Ni los personajes se salvan.
He de admitir que cuando leí la primera vez la trilogía original narrada por Anastasia, tuve una chispa de interés en conocer el punto de vista de Grey. No por nada en especial, sino porque la autora se había partido los cuernos intentando mostrarnos un personaje tan enigmático y raro que en un primer momento (yo era muy joven) hasta “deseé” que hubiera tal punto de vista. Años después veo que la autora dio lo que yo quise, y cuanto menos me siento avergonzada por ello. Sin entrar directamente en Christian, del que estaré hablando durante toda la reseña, podemos hablar de la estructura de los personajes en general durante las novelas. Tanto ella como él se centran en el patrón más básico de la masculinidad y la feminidad tradicionales, además, mezclado con el clasismo más asqueroso. Él, Audi y Polo Ralph Lauren. Ella, Apple y Louboutins. Él, empresario de éxito en el ámbito económico empresarial. Ella, editora literaria. Él deja la universidad para dedicarse a los negocios. Ella la termina con notas excelentes. ¿Sigo?
Todos los personajes de la historia son blancos y americanos. Pero este apartado lo retomaré más adelante porque sí, chicos. También tenemos racismo en este libro.
2. El sexismo y la masculinidad frágil en este libro no se justifican con el género de la erótica.
No, no tienes que hacer un libro sexista porque sea género erótico. No, no necesitas hacer a un personaje misógino para que llame la atención más tu libro. De verdad que no. Estoy completamente consternada por la gente que no ve este tipo de cosas en la narración o simplemente la ignoran y lo achacan a que es “erótico”. Una cosa no va con la otra. Sin entrar en que las escenas de sexo son, tanto en Liberado como en el resto de libros, repetitivas y carentes de emoción, lo cierto es que el patrón de comportamiento de Grey no permite tampoco que puedas siquiera disfrutar de sus acercamientos a Anastasia. Al menos a mí, no me quitaba la mala cara.
El libro es, y es algo que me sorprende en pleno 2021, una oda al sexismo y a la masculinidad frágil. Retomando esto último más adelante, como en el caso del tema racial, que sea un libro erótico no te permite el machismo que hay de por medio. No permite la inutilidad a la que rebajan a las mujeres cada uno de los personajes de esta novela, cuya única mujer de éxito es Grace Grey, la madre de Christian, porque hasta Elena tiene que depender de su marido o del mismo Christian para hacerse una carrera. Anastasia empezó bien, pero poco a poco va por el mismo camino. Al final, en el mundo que nos planea la autora, las mujeres valemos poco más que para tener hijos, tener sexo, y ponernos lencería o vestidos muy cortos (y por favor, sólo delante de nuestro macho porque si lo hacemos para impresionar a literalmente cualquier otra persona incluidas nosotras mismas no somos más que unas busconas).
3. Más tóxicos que en Chernobyl.
No solamente me molesta la estructura social y cultural del libro (que es paupérrima), sino que además tenemos aquí una relación puramente tóxica que se vende como una relación de amor. Y si nadie me cree, tengo el extracto de la contraportada de Liberado:
“E.L. James regresa, con una mirada más profunda y oscura, al universo de Cincuenta sombras, la historia de amor que ha cautivado a millones de lectores en todo el mundo”.
¿Vemos el problema? ¿Sí? Esto no es una historia de amor. Nada de lo que hay aquí escrito es una historia de amor. No es disfrutable, como mucho, puedes sentir verdadera lástima por Anastasia, y verdadera lástima por el hijo que tienen en común. Porque no es sólo que Anastasia se convierta en el “salvavidas de Grey” lo cual es un red flag como una catedral de grande, sino que además hablamos de que Christian tiene muchísimas cosas que solucionar de sí mismo antes siquiera de casarse con Anastasia. Porque no podemos olvidar que una vida de traumas no se olvida en un mes. No, señores. El amor no lo puede todo. La terapia, la aceptación personal, la introspección y la ayuda sí que lo pueden todo. Y esta imagen que se da de que la pareja romántica tiene que salvarte la vida o cambiarte en 180º o si no, no vale de nada, me recuerda a After, sólo que peor, porque se supone que estos dos son adultos.
4. BDSM y La cultura de la violación.
Una de las cosas que más he investigado a raíz de estos libros es en la comunidad del BDSM. ¿Cómo se ven estos libros? ¿Qué opinan de la pésima inmersión en Wikipedia que hizo la autora antes de ponerse a escribir? Bueno. La mayoría está no sólo muy en contra de ello, sino que además sienten que la representación que se les ha hecho en Cincuenta sombras roza lo asqueroso. El BDSM, que en este libro justifica las violaciones y los abusos sexuales de Christian hacia Anastasia, no son relaciones negativas ni tóxicas. Las personas que están dentro del la comunidad BDSM no están ahí porque tengan un trauma pasado, no están ahí porque necesiten terapia. El BDSM no es una opción, es una forma de disfrute y de placer, como a quien le gusta el chocolate con leche por encima del negro. Sin embargo, aquí el BDSM no es una orientación, es un castigo, algo malo y algo de lo que avergonzarse. En el momento en que Christian, especialmente en Liberado, empieza a sentirse “bien” (dentro de sus movidas mentales, claro), el BDSM pasa a un plano muy secundario donde apenas se le hace caso o no se le hace ninguno, porque al parecer no es “normal” que una persona mentalmente sana tenga esas inclinaciones. Volvemos a lo mismo, el BDSM no es algo que aparece sólo porque hay un trauma o un abuso detrás, y me moriré repitiendo esto hasta el día en que me entierren.
Y por eso hablo de la cultura de la violación. Hay una alarmante cantidad de mujeres, no sólo en América, que han sido violadas alguna vez a lo largo de sus vidas, no tanto por desconocidos como por personas de su propia familia. Y es que esto es algo que existe. Tu novio puede violarte, tu marido puede violarte, tu padre puede violarte. Y no se puede, repito, no se puede romantizar. En este libro se romantiza por completo el abuso y la manipulación sexual, se aplaude e incluso se llega a afirmar que es algo “sexy”. Ejemplo de esto:
“A lo mejor podría follarme a Ana hasta conseguir que diga que sí.”
“Estoy ansioso por llegar a casa y encontrar alguna forma de mitigar su enfado… si puedo. ¿Tal vez saliendo a cenar fuera? ¿Al cine? ¿A volar con el planeador? ¿A navegar? ¿Sexo?”
¿De verdad vamos a justificarlo porque es una novela erótica?
5. “La Bella y la Bestia” versión pornográfica contada por una adolescente.
Si tenemos que hablar del estilo de narración de la autora, no es mucho mejor que el de cualquier fanfiction de Wattpad. Sin emoción, sin originalidad narrativa. La historia es cuanto menos pensada por una persona de catorce o quince años, que acaba de descubrir lo que es el sexo, y trasgrede por completo las capacidades humanas normales. Chica buena conoce a chico malo, chico malo tiene un trauma que sólo su chica buena es capaz de eliminar de su vida, y a pesar de todas las cosas malas que le harían ponerle una orden de alejamiento, decide acabar casándose con él, viviendo felices y comiendo perdices. ¿He añadido que además el chico malo es deportista, alto, sabe cocinar, multimillonario, sabe llevar coches, helicópteros, practica deportes de riesgo, sabe pelear, habla francés…?
No digo que las personas con un claro trastorno como Christian no se merezcan a una persona que los cuide. Lo que digo es que antes que una relación, siempre va la propia estabilidad mental de uno mismo. Y Anastasia no deja de llorar en los libros. Christian no deja de gritar y luego intentar arreglarlo llevándosela a la cama. ¿De verdad vamos a dejar estos detalles de lado para disfrutar de una relación que no por ficticia, sino por tóxica, debería ser duramente criticada? Por favor. Morticia y Gómez Addams tienen una relación que bien se puede considerar dentro del BDSM y no es tóxica. Es una meta en la vida para cualquier persona.
6. La guinda del pastel: homofobia y racismo. ¿Algo más, E.L. James?
Vuelvo sobre mis pasos para hablar del racismo. ¿He mencionado que todos los personajes son blancos? Bueno, puedo añadir que hay una sola persona de color en toda la historia, José, el amigo de Anastasia. Latino, claro, porque si no es latino estando en Estados Unidos la cosa no sería lo suficientemente típica. Pues, ¿sabéis? Para el único personaje de color que tenemos en esta novela, efectivamente. Es un depredador sexual. ¡Pero qué maravilla!
Y me preguntaréis, ¿homofobia? Oh, sí. Siguiendo la masculinidad frágil que tiene nuestro amigo Grey, tenemos estos comportamientos homófobos desde el inicio mismo de la novela. Recordemos un poco el diálogo interno de Grey cuando Anastasia le pregunta si es gay:
“—¿Es usted gay, señor Grey?
¡Pero qué coño…! ¡No me puedo creer que haya llegado a decir eso en voz alta! Una pregunta que, irónicamente, ni siquiera mi familia se atreve a hacerme. ¡Cómo se atreve! Tengo que reprimir la necesidad imperiosa de arrancarla de su asiento, ponerla sobre mis rodillas y azotarla para después follármela encima de mi mesa con las manos atadas detrás de la espalda. Eso respondería perfectamente a su ridícula pregunta. Inspiro hondo para calmarme. Para mi deleite vengativo, parece muy avergonzada por su propia pregunta.”
Tranquilos, que hay más. Esto es de Elliot, el otro cuñado de turno del libro.
“—Durante todo ese tiempo, no mostró ni una sola vez interés en el sexo opuesto. Ni una sola. En fin, ya supondréis lo que todos pensábamos.
Venga, no me jodas. Pongo los ojos en blanco y Elliot sonríe.”
Y este, que es mi favorito.
“Elliot abre los ojos.
—Me quedaré en el coche—murmura. Le tiendo el brazo para estrecharle la mano pero me la agarra con fuerza—. Vete a la mierda con tus putos apretones de manos—masculla, y me estruja en un abrazo incómodo que me resulta torpe, masculino y… agradable.”
¿Qué quiero decir con esto? Que la trilogía no me ha gustado. No sólo no me ha gustado, sino que no encuentro ningún disfrute en su lectura. Me parece que ya estamos en un momento donde se pueden crear otras propuestas literarias, donde se puede dejar de romantizar relaciones como estas, porque hablamos de que no es sólo el público adulto es quien lee esto. Hay muchas personas jóvenes. Y no se puede educar a los varones a que dejen de comportarse como chimpancés mononeuronales que sólo piensan con una parte de su cuerpo que no es el cerebro y a ellas a que no hay que tolerar los abusos, sea cual sea la naturaleza de los mismos si luego les damos historias de “amor” donde se predica todo lo que se intenta eliminar.

Y es que esto es algo que existe. Tu novio puede violarte, tu marido puede violarte, tu padre puede violarte. Y no se puede, repito, no se puede romantizar. En este libro se romantiza por completo el abuso y la manipulación sexual, se aplaude e incluso se llega a afirmar que es algo “sexy”. Ejemplo de esto:
“A lo mejor podría follarme a Ana hasta conseguir que diga que sí.”
“Estoy ansioso por llegar a casa y encontrar alguna forma de mitigar su enfado… si puedo. ¿Tal vez saliendo a cenar fuera? ¿Al cine? ¿A volar con el planeador? ¿A navegar? ¿Sexo?”
¿De verdad vamos a justificarlo porque es una novela erótica?
5. “La Bella y la Bestia” versión pornográfica contada por una adolescente.
Si tenemos que hablar del estilo de narración de la autora, no es mucho mejor que el de cualquier fanfiction de Wattpad. Sin emoción, sin originalidad narrativa. La historia es cuanto menos pensada por una persona de catorce o quince años, que acaba de descubrir lo que es el sexo, y trasgrede por completo las capacidades humanas normales. Chica buena conoce a chico malo, chico malo tiene un trauma que sólo su chica buena es capaz de eliminar de su vida, y a pesar de todas las cosas malas que le harían ponerle una orden de alejamiento, decide acabar casándose con él, viviendo felices y comiendo perdices. ¿He añadido que además el chico malo es deportista, alto, sabe cocinar, multimillonario, sabe llevar coches, helicópteros, practica deportes de riesgo, sabe pelear, habla francés…?
No digo que las personas con un claro trastorno como Christian no se merezcan a una persona que los cuide. Lo que digo es que antes que una relación, siempre va la propia estabilidad mental de uno mismo. Y Anastasia no deja de llorar en los libros. Christian no deja de gritar y luego intentar arreglarlo llevándosela a la cama. ¿De verdad vamos a dejar estos detalles de lado para disfrutar de una relación que no por ficticia, sino por tóxica, debería ser duramente criticada? Por favor. Morticia y Gómez Addams tienen una relación que bien se puede considerar dentro del BDSM y no es tóxica. Es una meta en la vida para cualquier persona.
6. La guinda del pastel: homofobia y racismo. ¿Algo más, E.L. James?
Vuelvo sobre mis pasos para hablar del racismo. ¿He mencionado que todos los personajes son blancos? Bueno, puedo añadir que hay una sola persona de color en toda la historia, José, el amigo de Anastasia. Latino, claro, porque si no es latino estando en Estados Unidos la cosa no sería lo suficientemente típica. Pues, ¿sabéis? Para el único personaje de color que tenemos en esta novela, efectivamente. Es un depredador sexual. ¡Pero qué maravilla!
Y me preguntaréis, ¿homofobia? Oh, sí. Siguiendo la masculinidad frágil que tiene nuestro amigo Grey, tenemos estos comportamientos homófobos desde el inicio mismo de la novela. Recordemos un poco el diálogo interno de Grey cuando Anastasia le pregunta si es gay:
“—¿Es usted gay, señor Grey?
¡Pero qué coño…! ¡No me puedo creer que haya llegado a decir eso en voz alta! Una pregunta que, irónicamente, ni siquiera mi familia se atreve a hacerme. ¡Cómo se atreve! Tengo que reprimir la necesidad imperiosa de arrancarla de su asiento, ponerla sobre mis rodillas y azotarla para después follármela encima de mi mesa con las manos atadas detrás de la espalda. Eso respondería perfectamente a su ridícula pregunta. Inspiro hondo para calmarme. Para mi deleite vengativo, parece muy avergonzada por su propia pregunta.”
Tranquilos, que hay más. Esto es de Elliot, el otro cuñado de turno del libro.
“—Durante todo ese tiempo, no mostró ni una sola vez interés en el sexo opuesto. Ni una sola. En fin, ya supondréis lo que todos pensábamos.
Venga, no me jodas. Pongo los ojos en blanco y Elliot sonríe.”
Y este, que es mi favorito.
“Elliot abre los ojos.
—Me quedaré en el coche—murmura. Le tiendo el brazo para estrecharle la mano pero me la agarra con fuerza—. Vete a la mierda con tus putos apretones de manos—masculla, y me estruja en un abrazo incómodo que me resulta torpe, masculino y… agradable.”
¿Qué quiero decir con esto? Que la trilogía no me ha gustado. No sólo no me ha gustado, sino que no encuentro ningún disfrute en su lectura. Me parece que ya estamos en un momento donde se pueden crear otras propuestas literarias, donde se puede dejar de romantizar relaciones como estas, porque hablamos de que no es sólo el público adulto es quien lee esto. Hay muchas personas jóvenes. Y no se puede educar a los varones a que dejen de comportarse como chimpancés mononeuronales que sólo piensan con una parte de su cuerpo que no es el cerebro y a ellas a que no hay que tolerar los abusos, sea cual sea la naturaleza de los mismos si luego les damos historias de “amor” donde se predica todo lo que se intenta eliminar.

Anna seemed fiercer from Christian's POV. AND you don't have to hear about her inner goddess crap. Other than that, it didn't really say anything the original version didn't already go over. But it adds a whole dump truck of boring, daily minutia.

God, it was such a waste of time. The book spent so much time on unnecessary details. Just give me the good content. It should have had more scenes of Anna's pregnancy journey and how they dealed with it.

Back in 2011 I picked up Fifty Shades of Grey after coming off a long binge of paranormal romance, I craved something different but of course, it still had to have romance in it! Little did I know at the time, that by picking up the Fifty Shades series by EL James my life would change and bring me a whole new wonderful world: the book world. A place where I’ve found so many book friends around the globe – friends for life. I consequently discovered new Authors I would’ve never known about, and because of Fifty, it led to starting a book blog with my book soulmate and bessie mate, Jenny. I’ve experienced new and exciting things I never could’ve imagined and of course -above all, it brought me the unforgettable Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey as well as a tattoo quote, which to me, epitomizes their journey. Ten years filled with wonderful moments, amazing books, and like-minded people, creating memories I will always treasure, come what may. For this, I will always be thankful for the Fifty Shades series and will always hold its Author, EL James close to my heart.

Reading FREED told by Christian, knowing that this is the last book to reveal his inner musings and the why’s of his actions was quite bittersweet. I was excited to begin yet hesitant to finish. Now, sitting here in my garden on a warm summer’s evening, drinking wine out of a glass etched with Freed, which could not be any more apt, I feel quite despondent yet overwhelmingly happy at the same time. I have loved this series for everything it was and always will be, that EL James gave us three more books to have the privilege of Christian Grey’s voice was a gift worth its weight in both gold and girth, as this last instalment proved. And you know what -even so- I could’ve kept reading, such is my love for Fifty Shades and everything it embodies, and to be honest, it’s go big or go home right?! Well, EL James went big and she brought me home. A home I will remember fondly as I’m sure the rest of you will too.

I don’t need to tell you about Freed, Fifty Shades as Told by Christian. If you’ve been on the same journey as me, you know what it means, what the crux of the story is, and how it will end. What you won’t know yet if you haven’t read it, is how wonderful, emotional, and revealing Freed is across a storyline we’ve had the ultimate pleasure in experiencing once before in Ana’s voice. I truly left my heart amongst the pages of Christian’s Freed, and I was barely hanging on at times during the most poignant moments of Christian’s truths.
“If you grow up with a wholly negative self-image, thinking you’re some kind of reject, an unlovable savage, you think you deserve to be beaten…Ana, it’s much easier to wear your pain on the outside.” It’s much harder on the inside.
Christian Grey gave us such heartfelt revelations, so many new layers were unravelled. So much agony, confusion, self-sabotage, and insecurity yet a feeling of the intense need for certainty in love. Christian Grey, the man scared of human touch, affection, and a questioner of the love he received, desperate for everything that scares him and has scarred him. Unwilling, feeling unworthy and lost when not in control. Two sides of a man desperate to marry the two, but at a loss on the how-to.

Freed was beautiful, poignantly emotional, sexy, fun and so worth the wait. I have my own emotionally vivid memories of scenes from Freed in Ana’s voice which I could not wait to hear in Christian’s. Not only that, but I also needed to both hear and feel Christian’s thoughts and emotions when it came to his family, and woah, at times I had tears rolling down my cheeks! They always say the best comes to those who patiently wait, and every word of that is true when it comes to Freed, Fifty Shades as Told by Christian. It was captivating and pure indulgence for this fangirl.
‘Happiness. It’s a strange and unsettling emotion, one that I’ve felt often enough since meeting Ana. But I’ve always thought of those as fleeting moments, sometimes euphoric, sometimes just pure joy. It’s never been my constant companion. It‘s crept up on me, and now it’s with me, always – but it’s an uneasy feeling, a tightness in my chest. And I know it’s because it could be snatched from me at any moment, and I’d be left devastated.’
What EL James has achieved by writing a trilogy from both Anastasia’s and Christian’s view is quite outstanding. Both have an incredible impact. The first three books were fundamentally Ana’s story, a woman’s journey in a new and dark world of love, heartbreak, and kink. Having to grow up very quickly to fight for the man she wants, whilst finding her place in the world at the same time. A sweet, innocent, and adorably naïve voice turning mature, powerful, and becoming a persistent light in the darkness where Christian Grey lives. The very same books in Christian’s voice felt darker, more fractious, and ultimately so much more heart-breaking. The intensity of soul searching, of forgotten memories, and violence were so powerful and felt quite momentous. Yet these same pages were filled with wonderment and light too, as a man learns what it means to be loved and opens his heart and mind to those who matter as Ana shows him the way. The way home to love and acceptance. What a journey it’s been, I feel quite breathless. Thank you, EL James. Always!

I cant believe I read this... 600 pagessss!!!
It's been.... a long ass time since I read anything fifty.. and boy... I reminded myself how much I disliked Christian I enjoyed his pov more then Ana but DISLIKED HIM SO BAD!!! He acted like a child in this book even more of a manchild then Edward was in his own book lol. Also took me forever to pick the book back up because he made me so ughh I had to read other books before coming back to this.

4+ "Oh Fifty..." Stars!
Well, that was so nostalgic. For the most part this book made me quite happy. But gee wiz was Christian frustrating. Ana too for that matter. Anywho, if your a fan of this series, you'll enjoy this book. If you're not, I'm sure you will trash it without even reading it, so... For those that do want to read this, It was a marathon not a sprint, and there were quite a few new scenes to be enjoyed. Also, there were a lot more fade to black scenes. Which I appreciated. Overall, I loved it. I'm glad I read it, and I'm happy the series is complete. Though I think I would enjoy reading Taylor's and Mrs. Jones's story. Hummm.

Learning and Forgiving
Since the moment I read Grey years ago, I've preferred Christian's POV and this installment has continued that trend. There is just something about this broken man that draws me in.
Christian's bachelor party was fun to see as he learned to let go, even if only temporarily. I always enjoy moments like this that make him more human, more relatable. This is just one of several examples.
Oh yes, the Red Room ofPain Pleasure gets plenty of visits. And when the room is far away, the cat still finds a way to play. 😍💖🔥🥳
I liked that the epilogue ended at a different point but I really had hoped to see them further in the future. It was nice to see them settling into parenthood, though.
I may not be fond of the writing style or the formatting for this book (done by date throughout Christian's POV portion of the series, where several chapters exceed fifty pages) but I can't deny that E.L. James wrote characters that I'm compelled to read again and again. There is depth, humor, love, exasperation, and myriad of other emotions invoked with Christian, Ana, and their friends, family, and other associates. And, of course, there is the scorching sex. Whether realistic or not, it is wet dream material.

I have been waiting for this and it did not disappoint at all.
I love, love, love, loved this book. Reading Christian side of the story made the books much better then Ana's perspective. There was so much more too the story and I loved every minute of it.
There where a lot of questions answered in this book. I really liked this ending better.

Let's get real with this book. This books is really really lengthy. Like really long, it's get to this point where it gets a bit too much. This book could have been worth enjoying if it was a little shorter. Their was nothing very insightful about this series, even if their were some points it was overshadowed by the length. Over all this was a hype thing nothing more.

Avrei voluto dare un punto in più ma l’ho trovato davvero molto molto lungo, devo dire però che il pov di Christian ha davvero un altro effetto,una marcia in più, peccato però che i libri dove già conosco la trama mi invogliano poco a leggere ma qui ero intestardita, non potevo non leggerlo 😍. Io direi a chi non ha letto la trilogia di leggere direttamente quella di Christian, poi qui abbiamo un Christian completamente diverso,più aperto e amorevole con la sua Anastasia ❤️.

And with that my journey with Christian and Anastasia has come to an end. I have enjoyed the entire series. The original series, the movies, and this new round of books from Christian's point of view. It feels a bit sad for it all to be over. I love how even though we've read and watched the previous book and movie, having the ability to be in Mr. Grey's thoughts brings a new, and at times heartbreakingly sweet, view on things.

The best
My love for all things Fifty just escalated to the moon and back . I have been in love with this series since I first read Fifty Shades of Grey these books have changed my life in so many ways . They brought me back to reading again , and in turn I created my own book blog and I owe it all to E.L. James and our beloved Christian Grey. I absolutely loved this book it is always a pleasure to see the insight to the man who is so complicated yet so open and enchanting . Yes he is fifty shades of $$ but that's what makes him so relatable and endearing . As much as I loved this book I'm also sad that this is the end of the journey into two of my favorite characters . This series will always have a place in my heart some books leave foot prints on your heart cemented in stone and for me this is one of them .. Laters Baby .

This was just as terribly written as you’d imagine but the OCD in me 1. Needed to read the 6th book and 2. Couldn’t DNF even though it was 755 PAGES. I feel like there’s definitely a drinking game in here with how many times Christian refers to things as “yar,” and how many times he feels “ten feet tall” (with ten written out, plz).
I think EL James wrote a woman’s perspective on this romance/relationship in a much more thoughtful, intimate (and sexy!) way. Christian’s POV leaves a lot to be desired. Unless we’re talking about Jamie Dornan and in that case all of the desire. All of it.

This was…. Long
I know that those kind of books seem to be boring to a lot of people since they already know the plot but I usually like it. Seeing things out of a different perspective, understanding a person more.
I die enjoy the first two parts out of his perspective but this one was just not really it.
That many pages are just simply too much. Most of it was either the same or just business talk and I can’t think about a person he likes to read it all.
The book was so stretched out that I had the feeling it would take forever. Some Chapters were just too long with about 50 pages or even more. It was not appealingly
Since everyone knows Christian I don’t think I need to explain how he kinda seems to be an ass but he was even kinda boring in this one. Besides the hypocrisy at the end.
All together this was a long read and absolutely unnecessary.
