WARNING: This book has one girl and five bad boy rockstars. She owns them all--heart, body and soul.
Don't read it unless you like to ugly cry...and also unless you like threesomes, foursomes...and moresomes.

“Can one of these five rockstars fill the hole in my heart? Or will I stay broken forever?”

Young, dumb, and broke.

That's what started everything. With five dollars in her pocket, and everything she owns stuffed in the back of her car, Lilith Goode's life is over. Done. Destroyed.

Ten words. One text. That's what it took to change the whole world.

A crumpled concert ticket. A chance encounter. That's what it takes to start all over again.

Five rockstars. One girl. Six dark hearts, six withered souls.
But can one broken person really put another back together again?
And is a cross-country tour the place to do it?

Five rockstars, one sad woman... Will one of them fill the hole in her heart? 💔

Well, I have NO IDEA - because I had enough in chapter 15 - after they all filled her EVERY hole, except the one in her heart. lol 😂😂😂

The first thing I'd say about this book is that don't let my rating stop you from reading this book. It was a bloody interesting one, and I really enjoyed it. I will justify my rating in the review if you hang around for a few more seconds tho.

So with that, let us begin.

This book was unconventional- in the sense that if you wanna read a book where the lady is a damsel in distress, and the knight comes flying in, sweeping her off her feet, and they fall in love, and HEA HEA HEA, then this is probably not the book for you. Hell, this is definitely not the book for you.

But let us check out the cliched tropes at first—
1. A damsel in distress?✔
2. A wounded hero?✔
3. Another wounded hero?✔

Wait what?!
4. Yet another wounded hero?✔

What the hell is happening here?!
5. Did not have enough? Let's add two more to the mix. So, another two wounded heroes?✔

OK, now you're just fucking with me.

See that? That is exactly what I thought. And no, she does not choose between the five of them, she's.. uhm uhm *clears throat*.. doing all five of them. And I don't mean doing as politely as I said it.

The five of them are going all bang bang into the room. Or bus in this case.

This was my first book by Stunich, and I'm pleasantly surprised.

The story begins with our heroine- Lilith. (I love how she's named Lilith, like the from the Book of Isaiah. No, I'm not religious, and that is because I've read all the religious books and decided that religion is not for me. Don't say anything. But yes, back to the topic, Lilith is supposedly one of the 8 unclean animals, and generally associated with the demonic. And we all know how the majority of the world views anything other than straight heterosexual relationships as 'the devil's work' *cue eyeroll*. So yeah, the name had a huge significance, and I really appreciated it. Plus points for the understated Biblical allusion.)

Yes, so let me come back on the track, the story begins with Lilith finding out that her father just died. Broke, and with no home, she heads on to a concert that she had tickets to, with the plans of selling them for some money. Instead there she meets the men who would change her life- Beauty in Lies band members.

We have Paxton- the asshole, and the lead singer, Michael- the one with the girlfriend, and unattainable, and the lead guitarist, Ransom- the one who hides under his hoodies because of his scars, and can't sleep alone because of his nightmares, and the base guitarist, Muse- the one who thinks of every practical thing, takes care of everyone, and the rhythm guitarist, and Cope- the one who has beautiful green eyes, and gives out hugs, and is the good guy that wants to save everyone, and the drummer. And they all have their own demons.

OK, caught up with me? It's-it's a little confusing I agree. So bear with me. I had to get that out of the way.

Moving on. They save Lilith, and take her with them after she has basically slept with everyone but Michael (because he has a girlfriend remember?), and give her 2 weeks to get her life on track, as they are touring.

That is it.

This book basically was—

[]sexsexsexsexsexsex[]sexsexsexsexsex{}sexsexsexsexsex[]sexsexsexsexsex{}sexsexsexsexsex[]

[]= when she remembers that her dad is dead.

{}= plot/anything other than sex.

sexsexsexsexsex= you guessed it! SEX!

And that ladies and gentlemen, is my main issue with this book. No not sex! I'm OK with sex, it's the excess of it. It's the fact that anytime the story tried moving forward, they start having sex out of nowhere.

The plot was great and unique. The characterization was on point, and every single character seemed well developed and easily distinguished. It was the over-saturaion of sex in this book that killed it for me. And like I said, I am pleased with Stunich's writing. When she was not cramming sex scenes into the book, her writing was really good. Great imagery, beautiful expressions, and she really delivered the pain felt by the characters to the reader.

And then there was the whole "my dad is dead" thing. I am very tempted to just count the number of times she said that her dad is dead. It kept coming up and up and up and up. Like everything started with my dad is dead. And it got old real fast.

Another thing that got on my nerves was the fact that she started thinking of the boys as hers, just after a couple of days. I am OK with the four of them she slept with as being her. They signed on to that, but what annoyed me was her tone of the propriety. Like how she kept thinking of Michael as hers even when he was in a relationship. Like it was a foregone conclusion. I did not like that at all, especially since, she had just come out of a relationship where she had been cheated on, and did not want Michael to cheat on his girlfriend (and yet she kissed him). The whole thing with Michael was just ugly to me. Can't really explain it easily.

I don't know what else to say about this book. I wanted the next one as soon as this got over (and I have read that one as well, I'll review it in a few days). So as annoyed as I was, there is something about this book that is not ready to leave me. It's kind of weirdly attractive. You know like that boy in highschool you hated because he was a righteous arsehole, but somehow were still horny for him? Yeah this book was like that for me. I don't even like this book, and I don't even dislike this book, and I'm still hungover it.

Stuck between cruel and kind right now. That's where I am. And it's a beautiful fucking place to be.

Winner of the worse book I've read this year.

Random spoilery notes:
Fmc has zero personality
She's described as "Marilyn Monroe but with red hair"
Her dad died from cancer (she will repeatedly tell everyone this)
Her rich bf was cheating on her
He dumped her after giving her syphilis
She carries the paperwork to show she's clean
Her mom died of cancer too
Her sister was murdered
She isn't a fan of the band
Doesn't recognize any of the men when she sees them
Gets backstage pass, is brought on stage
All the men are sexy and deeply wounded
One is even reading fifty shades
Has she mentioned her dad died?
Has sex with two band members that first night
She mopes around, they mope around together

Later in the book, while riding each one of her men one by one, going down the line of rockstar cocks, she thinks...
I knew that it would take more than just my boys to save me from my pain, more than just me to save them from their own, but together we could fill the holes in each other's hearts, stop the bleeding long enough to recover, to open our eyes and realize that anything is possible if you believe, want, and try hard enough.
Let's all heal our wounds with meaningless, emotionless, bad sex.

Rinse and repeat. Don't even get me started about the fifth band member that holds out for a little while. This story was hilariously bad.

if i had a pound for every time this bitch says her dad died, then i imagine i could be building my own spaceship and yeeting myself tf out of here.

i have never read a reverse harem where the men were so undistinguishable in my entire goddam life. even when each one is a stereotype, i.e. the bad boy, the jokester, the nice guy, the brooding one... you can at least tell who’s who. but here? it was a struggle.

this book. my god. i had to compile a list of each guys’ traits and personalities bcos i couldn’t keep up with who was who... and i still think i got some details muddled up😭 luckily in the end, i could distinguish them all and ended up liking quite a few of them... but for a while there i was c o n f u s e d.

Lilith: red hair. curvy. sad. dead dad. dead mum. dead sister. evil stepmother.

Paxton: wears suits. is a prick. shags any woman Ransom shows interest in for some unknown reason. dead girlfriend. dead sister.

Ransom: dead mum who died just like Hardin’s mother in After. whispers all of the damn time.

Muse: ...has a mohawk? a faux-hawk? bought Lilith a plane ticket. wears glasses? (or does Ransom wear glasses?😭)

Copeland: has blue eyes like “the tropical sea” (idk which tropical sea, there are many). is nice. gives good hugs. likes to read erotica.

Michael: has a girlfriend (who he repeatedly cheated on while she was pregnant then subsequently miscarried). has violet eyes.

and the only fully distinguishable guy for a lot of the book was Paxton😭 i was gonna say that Michael Cope and Muse could all have been the same guy... then i realised Ransom also could have been rolled into that equation. it was Paxton then the other four💀

that being said, the band of guys was what kept me reading. their relationships were so bizarre— they all kinda hated each other, with so much hostility and resentment, but they had this unwavering brotherhood. i wanted to unearth their history and i craved to know more about them. i was definitely curious bcos why be in a band with people you don’t necessarily like or get along with? their relationships with one another is the only reason i didn’t dnf this😭 the romance with Lilith i seriously couldn’t give a fuck about.

despite her tragic backstory... she was boring af. so bland and mundane with zero personality. all she does it say “my dad is dead” and fucks one of the five men on the tour bus. other than that... nothing really happens. the story doesn’t move forward at all— it’s stagnant and repetitive, just when you think it’s moving forward, it screeches to a halt by Lilith fucking someone and then the same argument/conversation being had between the other guys as a result.

the second half is where i loved this. the story really moved forward, the guys’ dynamics shifted and grew and Lilith was waaaaay more bearable. honestly, id give the second half four stars (and the first half three) bcos i devoured the second half pretty quickly.

now in the first half, i really hated Paxton. he used his own trauma to justify his shitty, godawful behaviour— his cruelty to Ransom throughout this book made my skin crawl. like making fun of the guy who’s mother was raped then murdered, using that trauma as a joke? fuck that guy.

so naturally, i had such a soft spot for Ransom. he was definitely my favourite. i think it’s natural in rh that you end up having a favourite guy, and he was for sure mine. but Muse and Cope was lovely as well. it was just Paxton i loathed and Michael i didn’t give a fuck about for a lot of the book— the shopping scenes with him, Lilith and Muse really made him grow on me (and i was kinda shipping Lilith with Michael the most... probably bcos he was the only one not fucking her, it was that slowburn good shit).

and with the whole Ransom and Paxton situation, i don’t understand how Lilith still wanted to be with Paxton sexually when he was so cruel to Ransom who she cared about? i mean, they’d all be in the middle of some sexual encounter, and Paxton would make some nasty, backhanded joke at Ransom who in turn was rightfully pissed off... while Lilith just laid there with her legs spread eagle seemingly not giving a fuck. it was pretty hard to believe.

i think she was just too passive? at times she was treated like shit by a lot of people (her stepmother, Paxton, her ex, the tour manager) and just... didn’t do anything. i was like girl?? are you not gonna at least stand up for yourself? in somecapacity? she was just... not my cup of tea.

all of my enjoyment stems from the band. they were who i was fascinated by, they’re all broken with traumatic pasts and they were all bound together by some tragedy. if the guys weren’t so interesting (once they were distinguishable💀) then this probably would have been a flop.

im hoping the next book isn’t so monotonous. gimme that good angsty drama plz.

Sooo many people told me I had to read this reverse harem and I’m so glad I finally did. It’s the first book in a rock star romance series, about a rock star group of 5 and their heroine. We have Lilith, whose father has just died and she’s now completely broke and homeless. She has tickets to the band that she wants to sell so she goes to the concert and instead of selling the tickets, she ends up meeting the boys of Beauty in Lies. There’s Paxton, Ransom, Muse, and Cope, who are all broken boys who deal with their pain differently. The 5th hero is the only one who’s unavailable – Michael has a girlfriend. They take Lilith along with them on tour where they start exploring things between them (except for Michael). It was a really entertaining story – I couldn’t stop reading it! It’s steamy, over the top, and I love all of our guys! I can’t wait to finish the rest of the series.

We're all broken pieces, shattered by loss and grief and hurt, but put us together … and you get one perfect whole

This was a bit of a weird complex story...

It was like the author wanted to combine the serious subjects of insightful emotional characterisation and on the other hand it filled the gaps with hot, steamy raunchy sex scenes between one girl and five men...

Looking at it separately it could have resulted with two separate books, one drama and the other would be, well, just fuckin hawt sex...

But these two themes put together here just CLASH cause there was no "glue" to fill in the cracks.

I cant really explain it differently so you will excuse my lack of words this time...

It was good but not really fulfilling on the emotional level..and not to mention the heroine being a bit undefined in her actions (she does end up filling her sorrow with sexual satisfaction which is kind of a lame attemp in healing) and annoying at times...

But all in all, this read was different from the others MFM reads i have gulped *wink* so I encourage you to look beyond the title and give this a try, despite my average rating.

DNF… this is one of my favorite RH authors but this shit was pissing me off like the FMC was crying about her dead father every chapter which is fine but it just felt like something the author added to make the character unique. i don’t really think the author knows how to write grief and honestly i think i might be growing out of this author because the past books i’ve tried by her has been so terrible. why was there a scene where one of the guys was like “you’ve had sex with every guy on the bus” and she was like “my father died” GIRL WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. i needed something to help a girl out and this was not giving because every time it started to get sexy here her ass go crying about her dad. like why are you having sex with someone and then randomly ask about their dead mom??? it’s trying so hard to be a sad girl book and it did a terrible job.

This story is pure smutty escapism. A vulnerable and emotional Lilith stumbles upon a gorgeous guy from a rock band. Along the way she gets taken in by the entire band and travelling on their tour bus with them.

This leads to the most sexual and erotic experiences of her life.

To the outsider she would be seen as a groupie but something more is happening between them all as each of the guys open up to her and find they are growing very fond of Lilith Good.

If you like threesomes, foursomes, fivesomes and sixsomes you will enjoy this :)

Hotdamn! If this is how the reverse harem books roll I'm sorry I didn't try it out any sooner. Anything I might have ruled annoying or ridiculous, and there was some of that, got overshadowed by: 1) the ammount of feelings those six had for each other, 2) hot Bat Cave scenes and 3) Copeland's love for smut books. How can you not love a guy who loves romance as much, if not more, as you do?

Over and out

P.S.: I got a song of the day for you, folks - Electric Love by Børns.

LOVED, LOVED, absolutely freaking LOVED this book.
Lilly, Ransom, Copeland, Muse, Pax, and finally, Michael.
HOLY SHIT!!!
So freaking HOT, and extremely fucking emotional!!!
Yea that's all I am going to say about this AWESOME reverse harem, because really I think you should READ IT!!!
It's panty melting hot, extremely emotional (dealing with some pretty severe issues), and did I mention HOT, really I was sucked in from the first word of Groupie and didn't stop until the last word from Roadie. I was oh so thankful that book was already out!!
Now were just waiting on Moxie!!
I definitely recommend this book.
Be fair-warned tho it is not for the faint of heart, expect sex, lots and lots of sex with multiple partners, dirty talking dominate tattooed rock-stars, some serious asshole behavior, and the girl that brings them all together.

ONE woman & FIVE men. Yes, you read that correctly.

I was intrigued to say the least. This book is obviously not for everyone.

I didn't like the beginning. I felt that the heroine was just a slut.. but then it turned into something more. The relationships between her and the men were all different and real. Was she still kinda slutty? Uh, yes. However, the writing the author did made the story something other than straight up erotica. THERE WAS AN ACTUAL STORY. That never happens, especially with menage stories.

To calm some of yall fears, let me say that everyone is in agreement with this arrangement. Everyone is comfortable. Everyone is happy. There is no outside sexual escapades. Safe sex, birth control, and sharing of STD results before no condoms used.

This is also a trilogy, but this book ends in a HFN. Who will she ultimately end up with? I thought I knew who I wanted her with, but by the end I had already changed my mind. The next in the series comes out in May. Very intrigued!

Well … there was a lot more death in this than I thought there would be. Mostly past death, but some present too. Various causes of death. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the book, I just thought it would be a little less depressing.

Apologies in advance, but I don’t think I can write this review without spoilers. I need references to explain this😂

The FMC meets some of these men in coincidental situations and this leads to a whole snow ball effect of events happening. However, during her second meeting with these men, she shares that her dad has just died. Most act empathetically and try to comfort her, but then she gets semi-wasted and they all slept with her. After knowing her for a couple of hours. Even if she had initiated it and was only slightly drunk, surely they have assumed that she was in a f*cked up headspace. Or maybe thought ‘This isn’t a great idea, we should stop’, as it’s clear she’s grieving’. For me, it put a downer on all the MMCs. The epitome of ‘thinking with their d*cks’. I will say they made up for this behaviour later, but I really wasn’t keen on them at the start.

As mentioned, her dad passed away and you will be reminded of this fact frequently. Frequently.
See I felt bad for saying that because I know grief manifests itself in different ways, but my god it’s mentioned a lot.

I feel like she often used this to justify sleeping with the MMC’s and this explanation isn’t needed. She could be eating breakfast and suddenly having an internal thought of ‘Dad is dead’ and then she goes back to eating. I think it’s meant to show that she can be happy externally, but internally this event has broken her. However, the constant reference was a little grating.

Throughout the book, I did start to like all the characters, even the men. They grew and developed feelings for her. Even the ‘a**hole one’, became less of an a**hole. Always great to see.

Originally, I thought I would hate the FMC, as she was presented as ‘not like other girls’ and she ‘didn’t know how beautiful she is’. Those cliches. I grew to like her though, she’s quite ballsy.

I think in chapters there was definitely over-smutting (I think that’s a word) and this got quite repetitive. It’s like ‘sex, drugs and rock & roll’, but the drugs were absent, so the sex was in overdrive.

I will definitely read the next one. I’m just not in a massive hurry to do so. There was no cliffhanger, it just kind of ended.

Eh this was fine. It just seemed like the heroine sleeping with all of the guys all the time. I wanted more depth to the relationship beyond just a physical connection, and I didn't really feel like we got that. There also didn't really seem to be a purpose to the plot. They were just going on tour with the guys and the heroine was just there. I was just excepting more to the story and the relationships than what we actually got.

this had to many plot issues and things wrong with it but i still loved the book and finished it in one day because it's that obsessive type of crappy ;)
plus i loved that the book talked about how women can sleep with as many men as they want, whenever they want, and that doesn't mean they're sluts. own it sweetheart!

thanks to C.M. Stunich for always writing the light, sexy RH books that i love to read ;)) xoxo

I was surprised to find this audiobook free with an audible subscription so I figured it was a good time to finally knock this off of my TBR.

The book is really good, however, the audio narration was disappointing and I do not recommend listening to this series. I'm going to focus on the storyline for this review and rate it based on that.

(any spoilers are facts that become aware at the beginning of the storyline)
Book 1 of this series focuses on a time in the FMC's life when she's grieving the loss of her family after her Father, the last living member of her family after her mother and sister died years ago, passed away from a battle with cancer. Times are hard on the FMC because she's in her early 20s and going through that period in life where everything has gone wrong, she's homeless, moneyless, her boyfriend cheated on her, and now she can't even go home because her Dad died. Basically, everything that could go wrong went wrong.

While at a gas station trying to figure out how she will get home to see her father buried she remembers she still has concert tickets her boyfriend bought for them when they were still together, and that concert is happening that night not too far from where she is. This leads to a series of events that could later be seen as fortuitous.

The FMC happens to meet every member of the Band on her trip to sell her concert tickets and ends up with a free backstage pass. The guys of the band are lost in similar ways as her and they find a common understanding through their shared pain. Very angsty stuff.

This is a why-choose series that's also very fast-burn so naturally expect a lot of sex with the entire band. But they are all very upfront about their feeling and talk about what they expect and want from one another. Being that we're dealing with a rock band on tour you would think there would be a lot of other women drama, but I found the OW drama was fairly tame considering. We have one jealous manager lady that none of the guys ever had a relationship with and one of the guys does have a girlfriend but there's no cheating on the main character's part during the book.

I found the FMC's grief process to be relatable and interesting, but the storyline mostly centered around the main characters working through emotions and relationships while on tour. I personally prefer more action (not sex action) and magic in my storyline and this is not the kind of genre I typically prefer to read but I was still enamored with the storyline and finished this audiobook in 2 days as opposed to the one audiobook a week schedule I usually keep myself on.

This author.... She's crazy! I mean, it's as if she says 'Well, if we're going to go OTT, then why stop there?'

We have a whole madcap bunch of characters; Rockers who like reading erotic-romance, who wear nothing but suits and make you huff a laugh, overly tortured souls more than willing to sleep naked together, dead exes, parents, mangers with a chip on their shoulder, vengeful exes, wicked parents, dead sisters..... The whole 9 yards!

Suspend your disbeliefs a little and you'll be in for an entertaining, sexy, angst-y ride. Annnnd it's a long one/two/three. The books are lengthy, but surprisingly, there's never a dull moment.

Usually, reverse harem romances aren't my thing. (The best sentence I've written for a review, ever.) When it comes to real life situations, I truly prefer monogamy overall. However, when it comes to the action within the pages of C.M. Stunich's Groupie, I didn't mind it at all. The way the scenes are presented in the book makes this rockstar scenario almost...desirable. However, I had a few gripes about the rest of the story that made me lose a bit of the buy-in, despite the steaminess.

The first of a series of rockstar reverse harem romances, Groupie follows Lilith Goode, a young woman who's recently found herself unemployed, homeless, and orphaned after dad passes. Through a chance meeting in the parking lot of a concert by rock band Beauty in Lies, Lilith finds herself a semi-permanent fixture on the band's tour bus. However, it's almost impossible to live in such close quarters with sexy, sultry men such as those in the band and not want to take a tumble in the sheets. But with such physical closeness comes the emotional vulnerability, too. Lilith's got her own problems to handle; can she handle that of five total strangers?

Look, this book teeters on the whole "porn without plot" thing, so I'm going to talk about the porn first. Hope y'all are okay with that.

As mentioned previously, reverse harems generally do not get me excited as a genre. There are a lot of physical complications that can arise (heh) from trying to finagle the positioning of five bodies in that kind of situation, let alone writing about finagling the positioning of five bodies. However, I must say that Stunich did a great job during these scenes to make it believable, like it was something easy that everyone could just get down and do on the regular. (If they were into that sort of thing, of course.) Granted, not all of the sex scenes in this book are group sex -- there's a lot of one-on-one action that occurs that definitely, uh, inspired me in my real life. I also generally worry, in these books, that it's going to list way more into the "woman is degrading herself" territory, but often, Lilith was the one in control of the whole scene. That far exceeded my expectations.

When it came to the blossoming relationships between Lilith and some of her boys, I really enjoyed that Stunich made an effort to make sure her characters developed real, substantial bonds. Some of these bonds were easily created rather than others, but there was always a sense of respect and admiration between Lilith and any other member of the band. These weren't always just folks fuckin' for the sake of fuckin' -- there was emotion behind it that made these characters feel far more tangible, and I enjoyed that.

What I did not enjoy, however, were a few plot points that felt extremely convoluted. While the whole premise in itself is contrived (come on, a whole band just deciding that they're going to adopt a live-in groupie after she wins a contest?), there were other elements that made me roll my eyes. The band manager trying to sabotage Lilith's every action? The stereotypical evil step-mom with a ton of random contempt for her step-daughter with no real reasoning as to why? Evil ex-boyfriend conveniently showing up across the country and being abusive? I know this is a romance novel and the whole genre is pretty hokey, but even those elements are so ridiculously overplayed, they're predictable.

Another, smaller thing that made me feel weird was this habit of Lilith's to switch into omniscient mode at the end of the chapter to allude to events that would happen later in the book. There's foreshadowing by subtly weaving in some hints as to what may happen, and then there's foreshadowing by straight up announcing "AND LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT I'D HAVE ALL FIVE OF THEM BY THE END OF THE TOUR." at the end of one of the first two chapters. Don't do that, don't talk down to your readers; we knew she'd be fuckin' them all when we picked up the book.

Overall, Groupie is definitely a heavy dose of rockstar wish fulfillment, which isn't a bad thing! It's filled with some boiling-hot scenes between some attractive folks that are almost necessary for readers to slip into when they just want an escape from their everyday lives. Who doesn't want that? But what the book gains in awesome NSFW scenes, it loses in some aspects of the storytelling. I have to give it credit, though: who reads these books for the storytelling?

"This book has one girl and five bad boy rockstars. She owns them all—heart, body and soul. Don't read it unless you like to ugly cry…and also unless you like threesomes, foursomes…and moresomes."

This ^^^ is the warning at the beginning of the book, and that basically sums it up. Alone, broke and desperate. Lilith Goode is just trying to find a way to get to New York, when she stumbles across the path of a hot rocker guy who generously helps her out and confuses her with some sort of back stage pass winner to his show. The sexy stranger is mysterious and she has no clue what's going on, but with her situation she doesn't really have room to be choosey, so she goes along with it. I haven't read a lot in this genre but I read the blurb and was very intrigued so I thought it might be something that I would give a try. Pretty early on I realized that it wasn't really for me. However, I do know a ton of people who would love to read this book just because the warning said threesomes, foursomes & moresomes.

I knew from the warning that reading this book (or I assumed) there would be lots of sex, and there is. And it happens quickly with multiple partners, so if that's not your thing, heed the warning and move along because this book isn't for you. This girl has sex with three of the guys on the same night. The FIRST night. But I'm not going to slut shame her because if a guy can do it than so can she, in my head I was giving her a fictional high five and channeling Beyoncé. Get. Yours.

Pretty quickly we get to meet the male characters, Paxton, Ransom, Copeland, Muse & Michael. The story is told in first person with alternating POV's of all the characters, including each one of the five guys and Lilith, so you really get a feeling of what's going on in each of their heads and a thorough understanding why they make the choices they do.

I love the idea of a young woman finding her own independence while simultaneously being codependent on others. Not codependent in the sense where she's needy or she's beneath them, but that they're finding themselves within each other and growing stronger as individuals because of one another. Don't get me wrong, Lilith wasn't without flaw, she certainly had her whiney moments which were annoying, but her dad had just died and everyone mourns differently. Going on a road trip with a bunch of hot rockers and finding love and sensuality within that kind of atmosphere is unheard of, which pretty much makes this the ultimate fantasy. I thought I would really enjoy it, and it's not that I didn't enjoy it because I must say that the writing in itself was fantastic. I want to make that clear, it was clever and smooth and it wasn't only there as a backdrop to the sex. You can tell that the author took her time in crafting a story that was both meaningful and steamy.

In the end, even though this book isn't something that I would normally read. I found it very entertaining and I appreciate the deeper meaning that I believe the author was trying to convey.
It was good, and I'll definitely recommend it to my friends who are into ménage and reverse harem books.

This book was EXACLY what I thought Lilac was going to be like(BUT WASNT, LOVED THAT BOOK!)....in the worst possible way.
I didn't care about any of these characters, whats-her-name was so annoying!! I didn't feel bad for her I wanted to punch her in the face!

description

I get it, yout dad is dead. Do you have to say it in every fucking sentence!? It was like the author was trying to get simpathy for this character in the least amount of time possible so she could just get to the dirty stuff and justify whats-her-name's(seriously I just finished this and I already forgot her name that's how bad this was) acctions by her grief. And I didn't buy it AT ALL.

I mean, ok u lost ur dad and ur boyfriend cheated on u, and u lost ur apartment and it sucks. A guy is nice to u and offers for u to stay in his bus and u end up fucking someone(don't remember who the first guy was) ok I get u, u were trying to forget for a moment it's understandable...but when u go and fuck 4 more guys u barely know in the same night and in the next day you have a threesome and then a foursome? I mean I'm no judging but

description

jk, you can f*ck how many guys you want, girl power an all that, but the way she kept bringing up her dad as justification to why she was doing what she was doing just didn't work for me, I didn't buy it

and we are suposed to believe that before all of this she only had sex with 2 guys? but when things are getting dirty with all the group sex she magically knows what to do and when one of the guys f*cks her ass she doesn't even flinch.

will not be reading the rest of the series.

This is the first book I have ever read that I had to take notes on what I wanted to say in my review.
Lilith Tempest Goode (a more aptly named female character has not been written yet) learns her dad is dying and while trying to drive to his bedside from Phoenix to Upstate NYC to be with him she receives a call from Step Mommy Dearest that he has died. Add to this her lawyer in training boyfriend of five years is cheating on her, breaks one gift while giving her one she never wanted, destroys all her stuff and basically throws her out sets off a chain of events that leads her to try to sell the only thing of value she has in her possession. Two concert tickets to see the band Beautiful Lies.
Beautiful Lies - Band name or survival tactic? 5 gorgeous guys, that are so richly described in both looks and personality that you swear they are indeed a band, a band on the brink of destroying each other. I have never read about relationships within a band that was as toxic as this one. Pax, Ransom, Copland, Derek aka Muse & Micheal are all a product of or circumstantially dysfunctional, but I fell for everyone of them. You may be able to tell by the name of this book what it's about - although not. Lilith I don't like yet, she's too young, too whiney and justifies her actions over and over again on her dearly departed dad, how DARE he die of cancer!!! . I have no issues with what she does in this book and she does have some good intentions and qualities but girl OWN it already. This book is a mesmerizing train wreck, I could not stop reading even when I wanted to - It's not for the faint of heart - so don't diss it for the sex you know by the description what it's about. I found it a fascinating character study on deep routed pain and how they all deal with it. Everyone has a POV which I loved. Bring on Roadie.

This was something else, but I loved how dark and sensual it was.

Lilith Goode has nothing left in this world. Her dad has just died and she has about $5 to her name. When she stops at the concert for Beauty in Lies she was supposed to attend with her ex-boyfriend, she ends up finding the lead singer and winning a backstage pass. Lilith has nothing else to do and decides fuck it, and heads backstage. This changes the trajectory of her whole world.

The boys:
Paxton: Asshole extraordinaire and lead singer.
Ransom: Wears hoodies and constantly covers his body to hide his numerous scars, constantly plagued by nightmares of his mother's murder, base guitarist.
Michael: In a toxic relationship, lead guitarist.
Derek Muser: The youngest of the band, constant caretaker of the other boys, rhythm guitarist.
Cope: Enchanting eyes, giver of the best hugs, wants to worship his woman, drummer.

Lilith has nothing better to do with her life and when the guys let her be their groupie, she reluctantly agrees. As she gets to know each of the guys, they begin letting her into their world which is full of darkness, secrets, trauma and grief. Lilith has her own demons, but together they manage to soothe the rough edges of each other.

I was immediately addicted to the chemistry between Lilith and each of the guys. I absolutely loved this story and how dark it was. While Lilith and the guys don't completely know each other by the end, there's a tenuous trust between them all and I cannot wait to see that grow. I want to know everything about the guys and see how they'll begin to heal the scars from their life.

I've read several reverse harems, but this is a new favorite. I could definitely dig reading more rockstar romances too.

PATHETIC STORYLINE.

TOO CONVINIENT.

WAY TOO MUCH DRAMA.

ZERO CONNECTION TO ALL THE CHARACTERS.

(Wondering how many times she said « my daddy is dead » ?!?!? At least a dozen times in just a few pages.)

I am fighting myself with my review and rating for this book. On one hand, as erotica, this is a steamy, porn worthy, story and 5 stars. On the other hand, as far as realism, something I love in a read, this isn't realistic at all and 2 stars. So what do I rate it overall?

3 stars.

Here is why. Lilith is the books heroine. She is piss poor after her ex boyfriend of five years dumps and her tosses her out after she learns he cheats on her...a lot. On the day she is to move home, she gets a text message from her stepmother who informs her her father died. Soon after she also is told to not bother coming home, no funeral, he is being cremated and give me your address so I can ship you half the ashes. Lilith is distraught, no money and still fights to get to NY to see her fathers one last time.

She finds two tickets to a concert for Beauty In Lies, her ex's favorite band. She decides to sell them for gas money. Then wins a VIP pass to see the show after. What follows is her ending up with the band after her car is broken into, her stuff stolen and no where else to go, no one to call.

Somehow she is one the tour bus and ends up traveling with the band all while fucking one after the other.

There is a story which was interesting especially since most menage books I read the story/plot is lacking. What I hated. Lilith isn't likable. She is whiny, cries all the time. I get her dad just died but the author writes that Lilith is thinking My daddy died every chapter. We get it you are heartbroken.

I also don't get why the band likes her so much. I mean 4-5 guys 'loving' her? This is a rock band with many groupies. Yet they almost all settle for this one broken, emotional mess. Albeit they are broken messes too. Each with a sad and broken past.

I dunno, I guess I liked it but didn't love it. But the story was interesting enough to hold my attention and the SEX is STEAMING!!!!!!

I unexpectedly really enjoyed the hell out of the book. This book was a bit of a tear jerker but it was so easy to fall in love with these characters and to feel their pain and deep sadness, but with all that grit the author still pulled off a strong love story written like a love song to her readers.

My only complaint was grammar and certain words phases got lost in translation, other then that I so enjoyed the storyline.

Overall rating:
4*~ A Very Good Read

Sorry, but this was straight up porn. I really don’t consider myself a prude, but.. 4 guys in one night? And not at the same time, ladies… 🙆🏻‍♀️

And what to say about the plot, oh sorry, what plot? “My daddy died” (sex!) She cried. She had sex! “Cancer ate him” (sex again!) She was sad cause her dad died. More sex! “I’m never going to see my daddy” (sex! sex! sex!) I had my eyes rolling so much with this “rinse and repeat” that my husband thought I was having a seizure 🤭

Okay, so. I am totally aware that this book is next level dramatic and unbelievable, but I don't even care. I love rock star/groupie trash and this is the height of that. I don't think you can top a sixsome on a tour bus, man. I started laughing at so many points but you better believe I turned the page.

Maybe a little over the top...but very deliciously. I am a little envious and "sore" reading this tale.
