15, Book 1 The Teenage Christ

Rate this book
When a corrupt church rises to international dominance, a fortune teller predicts a teenage musician will bring about its demise. Reality and the supernatural collide in this transgressive urban fantasy, in which an unusual protest band starts a movement to save the world. One member can see dead people, one has prophetic dreams, and one may be the second coming of Christ. This 1d fanfic book is the first in bi-monthly trilogy of books that explores celebrity worship, religious worship, and mass media martyrs throughout history. One Direction, one cause. Book Two in already available on Kindle and Amazon. Book Three releases October 12th with Nook releasing two weeks prior as a Kindle Special.

FROM THE
My name is David Bryant, and I was born on the 13th of September. This means my birthday sometimes falls on Friday the 13th. I grew up gay in a town where alcohol was illegal and the city's only high school lacked so much as a Young Democrat's club. It was hard to fit in, but I tried. I tried the Cub Scouts but that wasn't for me; I tried tee-ball but that really, really wasn't for me; and I tried out local youth group, but I asked too many questions. I even tried being 'King of the Prom' but that was never going to happen. It wasn't until I tried writing and theater that I found something that was for me. It was for me because it could be anything I wanted it to be. From there, I went on to serve on the board for RSVP, Randolph County's community theater. I studied film at the North Carolina School of the Arts, served as 2nd Unit director for the indie film "Scripture Cake", and became the youngest director in RSVP's history. In 2010, I took over ownership of North Carolina Entertainer of the Year, a LGBT pageant based contest system. By 2012, North Carolina Entertainer of the Year was the largest Entertainer of the Year franchise in the nation. While working in LGBT pageantry, I obtained a few titles myself Mr. Kentucky EOY, Mr. NC USofA and Mr. National Don't H8. I guess that whole “King of the Prom” thing happened for after all. This is great news, because if it can happen for me, then it can happen for you. This book, like all of my books, was inspired by the events of that September 13th, and by the all events that have happened after.
