Miles Buchanan is the ultimate “fixer” for the wealthy, powerful and often criminal elements. He’s definitely operating in the gray using his Caleb Cain alias. There’s always been two constants in his life: Reynard, an underworld kingpin and his ward Clara Gautreau who he rescued from the streets of Paris when she was a little girl. Miles has known her since he was sixteen and made it his mission to be her protector, which Reynard sanctioned and expected. Clara is a PhD candidate who has her own secret sideline. She’s the infamous art thief known as The Lynx, stealing ill-gotten works and returning them to their rightful owners. It’s her last heist that has her in the crosshairs of the vicious man who was her target. Miles now has his own troubles stemming from a client who wants to turn the tables on him. It’s complicated.
the heart of the story…
The story opens with Clara’s last caper that went awry, creating a level of tension that never eased up. Then Miles’ client, a corrupt and mobbed up congressman, threatens him with some serious bodily harm if he doesn’t meet his demands. In the meantime, Miles is continuing to secretly shadow Clara and fighting/denying his deep feelings for her. And, his reconnection with his twin brother Miller (Tox), a former Navy SEAL and an operative for Bishop Securities, is resurrecting old memories he’s determined to keep buried. I became invested in both of them early on so all of these threats had me worried through the last page!
the bottom line…
The suspense and tension was so high I could barely stand it (a good thing)! As if that wasn’t delicious enough, the emerging romance between Clara and Miles was as good as it gets. It was sensual, mature and lovely. Normally the denial would become tiresome but not here as that was part of Miles’ fabric regarding all relationships. I loved everything about this story and, as with every book in the series, it epitomizes all that’s wonderful about romantic suspense. Next, please!

Clara Gautreau and Miles Buchanan have known each other for years. Miles has worked for Clara's adopted father since he was a teenager. Clara is as known as "The Lynx". She is an art thief who tracks down lost pieces of art and returns them to their lawful owners. Miles is a fixer. He has several identities that he uses for various projects. Clara's father has asked Miles to keep an eye on her while she lives in NYC. He takes his work seriously...making sure any guy who Clara dates never go on a second date with her. As Miles watches over Clara, he learns that a Wall Street financier, who she stole a painting from, has vowed to get even with the Lynx. Since she is in serious danger, Miles packs her up and takes Clara to his apartment. Of course, he didn't know that a mobster turned politician has found out Miles' true identity and wants him dead.
This is the sixth book in the Bishop Security series and my favorite in the series so far. (I think I say that after each new book.) Just like the other books in the series, we have a great story, lots of action, and a hot romance. Miles and Clara truly have fantastic chemistry. They are both likeable characters and fit right in with the other members of Bishop Security. My rating: 5 Stars.

This was an excellent Romantic-Suspense read. It had everything I want to see in this genre. The romance was sizzling off the pages hot, and the suspense kept me reading when I should have been doing other things and getting in trouble for it. This whole series is about the best I have ever read, and I can highly recommend you start with the first book. Clara and Miles are two lovers that were just meant to be. Their backstories were sad, but it was wonderful to see how they overcame that to become successful in their chosen fields, even though those fields were more than slightly outside the law. While not exactly a friends to lovers tale, these two did have a past in their youth that just couldn't have ended any other way.

Her day job is as a PhD candidate in Art History at Columbia. Unfortunately, her last job didn't quite go as planned and now she has made a powerful enemy in Lucian Kite, a real nasty piece of Wall Street work.
Miles Buchanan is a complex man with many different personalities he can call upon to be anyone he wants to be. Miles's personal life is devoid of close relationships, thinking he can't be hurt if no one gets close. His closest attachment is to his twin brother, Miller "Tox" Buchanan, and Miles tries to keep even him at arm's length. As the fixer, Caleb Cain, he has amassed a lot of money, loyal clients and enemies. One really powerful client turned enemy, mobster turned Congressman, Chug Ugentti, is making demands Miles will never comply with.

This was so good! I could not get enough of Clara and Miles and the, for lack of a better word, adventures they had together. I liked each of them individually but watching their relationship change and grow as Miles allowed himself to feel emotions added to the story. The Bishop security group rounded out the cast and while I don’t have the skills that they do, I found myself wanting to be a part of their family. It was the relationships between the characters that upped the appeal for me. Plus now that I know they have their own stories I am looking forward to reading the other books. I appreciated that the author included a Cast of Characters at the beginning of the book, it is this type of touch that took the book from ordinary to extraordinary for me. The adventures had the right mix of danger and twists to keep a reader of thrillers engaged and reading. I highly recommend this book!

This was my first time reading a Mystery/Thriller Series by Debbie so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i really enjoyed this one and had i known it was part of a series i would of read Books 1-5 before reading this one.
The Characters were fun and interesting to read about. It was hard to pick just one as my favorite since i seemed to enjoy all the characters.
The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in France while reading especially when the scenery was described.
Overall a Good Book 6 in this Mystery Thriller Series!! Can't wait to read Books 1-5 soon!!

While Someone Somewhere is part of the Bishop series, readers can enjoy it on its own. This book begins with an introduction to the cast of characters. It is very useful for the reader to know the characters' identities. Throughout the story, the book introduces all the characters along with the book they appear in and their backgrounds. This author writes a unique combination of a spicy romance and suspense story. My imagination can come up with several male characters that would make excellent TV characters. Clara and Miles's relationship was tense and entertaining. The purpose of Clara's life was to locate things stolen from families in past generations and return them to them, and I found it fascinating.

I love this series and Debbie Baldwin's writing never disappoints. Clara and Miles have a permanent place in my heart and their story is true romantic suspense. The chemistry between them is on fire and the way they protect each other is hot and sweet at the same time. This the sixth book in the series and each book can be read as a standalone, but I prefer reading them in order. There is a cast of characters in the beginning that references the other books in case you don't and I found the short synopses of the books helpful in putting back in this world. I love it here!

This book features two characters that enjoy aliases to get the job done. Miles aka Caleb is a fixer and knows lots of people’s powerful secrets. Clara aka the Lynx is a PhD student by day and a Robin Hood art thief by night.
Both Clara and Miles have current enemies that want to take them out and pasts that control their current actions.
Through all this, a long standing attraction between Miles and Clara finally make sparks fly.
I love the exploits, the banter, the tension, and the assistance of the Bishop Security team featuring Miles’s twin, Tox that made this a one sitting read for me!
The beginning of the book has a cast of characters if you are new to the series!

Someone Somewhere is a great romance suspense read! I really enjoyed the main characters and the romance between Clara and Miles was spicy and entertaining! This book had me turning the pages long after bedtime but it was definitely worth it! Each book in the series is about a different couple so they could be read as a standalone but the series is really good so you would be missing out on some entertaining stories! The only other person who knows Clara is “The Lynx” is Miles. He worked for her dad growing up. Miles has multiple identities that he uses depending on who is hiring him to make things go away. Her dad has always made sure Miles and Clara were in touch and working together. He hoped one day they would admit their love for each other.
My thoughts:
This is book #6 in the Bishop Security Series and so far my favorite. I have only read two so far and have book 1 to read.
The chemistry and banter between Miles and Clara is so well written. They both had a hard upbringing which is mentioned throughout the story. I liked how Baldwin spread their past throughout the story only giving you what you need at the time.
My only complaint about Someone Somewhere is there are four or five POVs. You mostly get Miles and Clara’s POV but there are others sprinkled throughout.

Every time I read a book in this series I think it can’t possibly top the last one. You’d think I’d learn. Someone Somewhere is my new favorite!!! This time we have the enigmatic Miles (twin brother of the Book 2 MMC, Tox) and the beautiful art thief Clara. Clara is being targeted by a creepy Wall Street criminal who she robbed and now he wants revenge. Miles will do anything to protect her but he’s got problems of his own—in the form of a mobster who wants him dead. I don’t want to give anything away so I’ll stop there but Holy Gods of Romance does this book sizzle. Doing a reread this weekend!!! Ten stars!!!

So this is #6 in series and reads like a standalone, perfect for me because I always fail at series!! This is romantic suspense another genre that is a fave!!! I enjoyed seeing the sparks fly between Miles and Clara! Clara finds herself in trouble of course needing the help of Miles!From romance to mystery to spice to action, this book has a little bit of everything! He is a fixer that makes the worse problems of the rich and powerful disappear. He goes through life with no emotion and no attachments – or so he likes to tell himself. His one weakness is Clara, his bluebird. They’ve been frenemies since kids and she’s a modern-day Robin Hood thief that steals back ill-gotten art and jewels and returns them to their rightful owners. She’s uncatchable, until she isn’t. Now she’s crossed the wrong maniac and he’s determined to make her pay. Slowly and painfully.
I loved the chemistry between Miles and Clara. Their interactions, pranks and heat sizzles off the pages. Miles fools himself that he’s only interested in stopping Clara’s love life because he promised her adoptive father he’d look out for her, but he’s kidding himself. For her part, Clara has loved Miles since she was a little girl, but has resigned herself that she will never break through his walls. But once she finds herself in serious danger, she finally starts to see cracks in his façade. This is a steamy, slow burn romantic suspense with lots of hot, dangerous, capable men willing and eager to help Miles protect Clara. There’s definitely plenty of good guy heroes to lust after, and I’m all there for it.

After her last heist, Lucien Kite, a man of money and power, has his eyes set on revenge, and he's taken a painting that means everything to Clara's dying father. Enter Miles Buchanan. Miles is a fixer who doesn't do feelings, relationships, or friends. That's how he likes things. He only has one obsession. Clara, his Bluebird. Miles has been a part of Clara's life since she was a child. Even now, he's involved in it more than she's realizes. Once Lucien threatens Clara, feelings start to come out in Miles, and he does anything to protect her. As Miles and Clara work together to steal back the painting, they start to uncover more than just the treasure the painting was leading to.
This was the first book I've read by Debbie Baldwin, and it was amazing! I was only fifty pages into this book before I added all the other books in this series to my tbr. This romantic suspense book had everything you could possibly want in this genre. There was action, thrills, heat, tension between the two MCs, and just the right amount of spice. The chemistry between Miles and Clara is off the charts. Both Clara and Miles are facing their own bad guy problems, and neither of them hesitate to put themselves out there to protect each other. This book had me hooked from the very first chapter.

Five amazing stars for this book. As I am drying my eyes from shedding so many tears at the beautiful ending, I have to applaud Debbie Baldwin on this master piece. I loved every second of this book and fell madly for Miles and Clara. They are the absolute sweetest and adorable couple. Or shall I say not couple. "wink wink"
Miles is definitely a character who carries around a large amount of baggage. He is damaged beyond repair and there is nothing or no one who can penetrate his walls. Even the little minx Clara.
Clara "The Lynx" is sophisticated, sly, intelligent, caring and truly great at retrieving things. Her character is fun and spontaneous. I love all her little pranks she and Miles play on one another. They had me in stitches at times with their funny camaraderie.
These characters truly make up some of the best parts of the series. I love the whole twin thing with Miles and Miller "Tox". The connection they have is amazing and so in sync. I love reading about them.
This book had all my favorites in it. It has mystery, thievery, mobsters, blood, guts, comedy and romance. It is full of emotions throughout and I could not help but be moved by Miles and Clara. This book just pulled my heart out and squeezed. It was exceptional and simply breathtaking. I love Ms. Baldwin's Bishop Security Series and I feel like this was my favorite of all. I can't wait to see what's next for our gang. I am not sure she can top this one. "sniff sniff" "dries eyes"
Miles is definitely a character who carries around a large amount of baggage. He is damaged beyond repair and there is nothing or no one who can penetrate his walls. Even the little minx Clara.
Clara "The Lynx" is sophisticated, sly, intelligent, caring and truly great at retrieving things. Her character is fun and spontaneous. I love all her little pranks she and Miles play on one another. They had me in stitches at times with their funny camaraderie.

I wish more time had been spent setting up the heist a` la Ocean's Eleven, but the romance takes center stage in this story. The subtle twists and turns woven into the plot add suspense and some action, featuring many characters from previous Bishop Security novels. Also, the two protagonists are likable, even though Miles's dominant nature is emphasized more often than necessary throughout the book. Overall, however, Someone Somewhere is an entertaining adventure, making for an enjoyable read.

This is my first book by Debbie Baldwin and won't be my last. I'm newish to spicy romance novels and boy, are they fun! This romantic suspense novel had everything that makes for an excellent story. I enjoyed meeting Miles and Clara and their dynamic kept me intrigued from start to finish. In this installment, Clara is targeted by a wealthy yet creepy wall street criminal who she stole from and is now seeking vengeance. Miles wants to help but has his own problems with the mafia and a bounty on his head. Despite this Miles does his best to help Clara. What ensues is a puzzle you'll find yourself thinking about long after the book is over. The author did an excellent job of world building and I felt like I was walking side by side with Clara and Miles.
Each book is written as a standalone and I did not feel like I was missing anything by jumping into an established series. The book is well written with strong characters with backstories that add an interesting twist. I will definitely go back and read the first 5 books!

I just finished reading this amazing Romantic-Suspense novel and I'm still reeling from the excitement!
The story follows Miles Buchanan, a complex personality with many layers (bad boy dadddy vibes), and Clara Gautreau, a brilliant PhD student with a secret life ( ahmmm she's a theif). Their paths collide when Clara's latest job goes haywire, putting her in the focus of a powerful enemy. (Just the way we like it)
The romance between these two is sizzling, and their backstories are so heart-wrenching. I loved how they navigated their complicated past and found a way to be together despite their rough edges.
The author's ability to balance action, suspense, and romance is impressive, and the characters are multidimensional and well-developed.The supporting characters are equally well-developed, particularly Miles' twin brother Tox and the enigmatic Bishop Security team.
Omg did I mention that Miles promised Clara's father to keep her safe? You all are going to love this one.

This is my number one genre of all time. I absolutely love a romantic suspense. This one kept me up well into the night. It had sizzling spice, the twist and turns kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
This one is in a series, and I didn’t realize that going into it, but I already have the rest of the books added to my TBR. Each book can be read as a standalone. The chapters are short and sweet and you can truly fly through this book .
The MCs Clara and Miles their dynamic draws you in from the start. Their stories are unique and reminded me of Robin Hood(ish). The tension and banter, and even the pranks between the two of them added a fun touch to the book. And, let’s talk about the heat between these two… It’s a 10+!

This story is dipped in action and drizzled with spice. My kind of reading. The book starts with a cast of characters that is a welcome addition, allowing the reader to get a feel for them.
Clara and Miles have known each other for years. Miles works for Clara’s dad and is tasked with keeping her safe. Good luck with that! Clara is not your average thief, she intends to deliver art back to its rightful owner. Along the way, she pisses off the wrong people. Enter danger and a top-notch thriller. Both Clara and Miles are likable characters who you will soon be cheering for. Especially when Miles lets his guard down and … you don’t really expect me to tell you everything do you? The ending is a knock out ringer and almost makes up for the story being over. (it is quite a satisfying ending).

I do not read many sexy, steamy, heart throbbing books. Yet, I will drop everything to read one of Debbie Baldwin's books. This newest creation blew my socks off as normal. There was actual steam coming from the pages. I was riveted to my couch, staying up to 1:00 in the morning to finish this one. I love how each book is broke down by each of the hot, handsome men that make up Bishop Security. This time we are focused on Miles and Clara's story. Do not worry, the rest of the team and their significant others are woven into the fabric of this fast paced read.
Miles and Clara have known one another from an early age. Clara has never been able to keep her eyes off Miles whenever he is in proximity. Miles works for Clara's adopted dad, who works in the criminal world making himself vast amounts of money. He scoped Clara up one day, when she was being chased by an unsavory character and she has been living the dream since. Clara is an art thief. She loves tracking down lost pieces of art that were stolen and returning them to their rightful owners. She has made a name for herself, and some horrible people are looking for her. Clara's father has Miles keep an eye on her. The sparks never stop flying between these two, as tensions rise so does their stamina. Miles walls begin to tumble, and Clara can see that there is an actual man within. Not just one of his many characters he has created to meld into the criminal world. The other aspect that is brought up is how Miles and Tox fit together like puzzle pieces. Always getting that twin feeling when the other is in trouble. This relationship must be handled with care, and I loved every second of witnessing it.
This is such a fun, highly spicy, suspense, which kept me on my toes. It is fun to reconnect with all the fantastic characters from the previous books and see where they are now. If you want a book that is more than a romance and less than a dark romance this book is for you. I was lucky enough to be chosen for a stop on the tour for Someone Somewhere and I am so glad I was. This book is a suspense romance and it was so much fun to read. Both Clara and Miles had their own suspense stories happening while simultaneously exploring their relationship with one another. The chapters are short and leave you wanting more. It was hard to put it down. I just needed to know how these stories would all unfold while still holding out hope for a happily ever after ending.

The story starts out with Clara, or the Lynx, attempting to steal the valuable painting, Girl with a Sunflower, to give back to its original owner. Unbeknownst to her, Miles (also known as Caleb Cain) is never far away to help if needed. These two have undeniable chemistry but Miles fights it for a while. When danger rears its ugly head, Miles steps up to the plate to protect his girl.
This was my first romantic thriller book by Debbie Baldwin and it definitely will not be my last! I literally did not want to put this book down. I loved the chemistry between Clara and Miles. The pranks kept a smile on my face and the intensity of the situations kept me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this story!

Someone Somewhere is part of the Bishop Series but it can be read as a standalone. At the beginning of the book there is a cast of characters which is really helpful. It tells the background of each character and which book they star in. A spicy romance suspense series is a unique combination and the author writes it very well. There are a lot of growley male characters that I can imagine would make a very firey TV series. I liked the tension and fire between Clara and Miles. I loved that Clara’s mission in life was to find and return things to families that had been stolen from them in past generations.

I have read several of the books in the Bishop Security Series and have loved them all. They are the perfect combination of romance and thriller/mystery. The author has an ability to create characters that you truly want as your own friends! And her imagination in coming up with new adventures is only outdone by her ability to write about those adventures in a way that is funny, engaging and exciting all at the same time. That said, she has truly outdone herself here with Someone Somewhere. The story development is top notch with twist and turns that keep you guessing, but also fit the narrative!! I could not put the book down!

I so love suspenseful romances. There’s mystery, intrigue, falling, and some smut. This book perfectly hits all the best parts of this genre. Miles and Clara aren’t really enemies; they're more like frienemies. I really enjoyed the fact that Clara wasn’t a damsel in distress. They both had some trouble going on. He wasn’t saving her, but she may have saved him. Their coming together with the characters from the other books was great and really made me want to go read those.
It’s a series of standalone books with intertwined characters.

Debbie wrote a phenomenal, highly suspenseful novel! Her way of writing such descriptive scenes gave such a vivid image of everything that was taking place. I loved the banter between our main characters and the depth of their growth throughout reading. The plot twists were perfectly placed. I had no clue as to what was about to happen! This was my first time reading this author, but I'm definitely going to go back and read the rest of this series!

Someone Somewhere is a new romantic suspense that was released last month. That question reminded me of Miles… he is a fixer that makes the problems of the rich and famous disappear. He can become whoever he needs to be to get the job done.
But then there is Clara.. she is from the wrong family and she gets Mikes tangled up one crazy heist. He knows he shouldn’t help but he also has always been into her.
This is a fast paced read that kept me engaged the whole time!

I really liked this one just like the first one in the series!
Clara is one of my favorite heroines! I love that she is a thief lol
Miles is sexy and what every women wants in a man.
I read these kinda funny because I read the first one in the series and then this one, book 6, skipping all the books in between lol
I enjoyed these two from the series so much that I’m looking forward to going back and reading the books I skipped now.
