Have you ever seen the movie Final Destination? People cheat death, but in the end, death finds them anyway. Well, I cheated. I’ve cheated the game of life more times than I can count. Winners never cheat and cheaters never win. Somebody said that once. I kissed my big brother’s best friend. Anybody who knows anything knows you should never kiss your brother’s best friend. I kissed him, but I didn’t stop there. Life is never that simple, is it? One night. One young, stupid night. That night changed everything. Damien and I made a pact. We became partners in order to raise our child together. A child we never anticipated. Only then, I went and fell in love with him. I broke the rules. I cheated life again. He died before I could tell him. My brother killed him. The doctors brought him back to me. They saved him. They gave us a chance at a life I thought was lost forever. But that still wasn’t enough. It feels like I’m cursed. The odds are stacked against me.I have too much to lose this time. Liberation. Freedom. Reconciliation. Love. Do you believe in redemption?

Four Score is book Four in the paint by numbers series and we’re branching off a bit and get to see the other side of the fight between Gia and Tyler. Their fight and lack of closure from Three Wishes had me desperate to get my hands
on this book.

I absolutely LOVE Tyler but i was so mad at him even though I know why he did what he did. You can read this as a standalone.

This was a wonderful journey of love, dedication, family and forgiveness. These two chose each other and their child over everything even from the start. I absolutely love the development of their relationship from friends to co parents to more. Their relationship felt so pure and heartwarming.

I laughed, I cried, big ugly tears and even though I thought I was prepared for some things because of the previous book I was NOT ready. Can we make #girldad a thing? Damien is an absolutely amazing dad and cheerleader for her.

Gia is the best mom and supporter to Damien, I loved her fierceness and love for them both.

Damien is her overprotective big brothers best friend. They have all been friends since they were kids. Their goals were simple and set.

When one kiss and two pink lines change everything, they are prepared to give their child everything they didn’t have.

Their plans have shifted but the goals are the same. Go to school, go pro and be the best family for their child. They both have to make hard decisions and choose the best things for their family now.

Just when their friendship becomes more life throws them another curveball threatening everything they have worked so hard for and this time they may not be able to recover from it.

Overall amazing.

-brothers best friend
-childhood friends
-Marrage of convenience
-fake relationship
-forbidden love
-friends to lovers

With a dash of
-Oblivious to love
-Unrequited love

I love Gia, Damien, & Astria sooooo much. Their HEA is fantastic. And I’m so glad I can still adore Tyler & Casey.

Thanks to the author for the early copy and the chance to give my candid review.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (0-5)
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 (0-5)

What I’m Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 My first reaction mini review on goodreads: I love Gia, Damien, & Astria sooooo much. Their HEA is fantastic. And I’m so glad I can still adore Tyler & Casey.
🤩 The tropes and storyline are fantastic—brother’s best friend, one-night stand, surprise pregnancy, arranged marriage, forced proximity, friends-to-lovers, HEA & unconditional love.
🤩 DAMIEN—he so good and selfless. The slow burn frustrates readers more than him as the MMC. And when he finally gets the chance—holy hotness!
🤩 GIA—she’s so stinkin’ cute and strong.
🤩 When Damien says, “Yeah, princess?” after he tells the princess and ogre story to Gia and Astria. And then, Gia uses the story back on him. Oh, my heart!
🤩 ALL THE FEELS—such sweet, cute, fun, funny, and steamy scenes to help our tender4 hearts handle the intense, sad, and hard parts.
🤩 Found family—friends who tell you like it is: “Seriously, girl wake up, your husband is so gone for you it’s not even funny. And the way he brags on you constantly? Please.”
🤩 I have so many favorite parts but here’s a small one: Just when I think my legs will give way beneath me, he whispers into my ear, “I remember.”
🤩 Go back and look at my TikTok/reel for one of my other steamy favorite parts!
🤩 The clever solution to the multiple problems—no spoilers, but it’s lovely and healed my whole heart.

What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About:
💫 The anticipation of the big game is tough.
💫 My heart was pretty wrecked at about 50%, tears pouring down my face. But, see above.

Damien and Gia’s relationship is a journey to love that you feel privileged to witness.
It’s honestly difficult to put into words how wonderful and special this book is. Damien and Gia’s relationship doesn’t start out conventionally; when they are surprised by a positive pregnancy test they agree to a platonic relationship to raise their daughter together. They are an amazing team from the beginning; supporting each other with empathy and trust, making for a well-oiled machine. But as Astria grows so do they as individuals as well as the love that they have for one another.

Theirs is an emotional journey with so many challenges thrown their way. Through it all they are loyal to each other. The way they support each other is serious couple goals.
There were several times this book bought me to a messy state of tears flowing, nose running. One of those being Gia’s fears and worries about motherhood which were so raw and real. As a mum I could relate to her on so many levels.
You can’t help but swoon over Damien who is seriously the most dedicated and hardworking husband and father. He knows when to protect Gia but also when to stand beside her and support her in her decisions. The strength that both of them show through their journey is exceptional.

After the hints dropped about Damien and Gia in book 3 I was excited and intrigued for their story and Nicole Dixon surpassed my expectations. This is an amazing, emotional and steamy edition to the Paint by Numbers series.

They’ve known each other since they were kids. He’s her brother’s best friend. One kiss. One night. One positive test. One decision and their whole world changes.

Gia and Damien decide to give their child something they didn’t have whether by a choice or tragedy. They chose to be a family. They worked together as a team to ensure their daughter knew the love of both parents. They never faltered. They had each other’s backs in every situation life threw at them.

Just when they decide to take a chance and give in to their desires, tragedy strikes. Then a miracle happens and things start looking up. Funny thing about life, it’s unpredictable. This is a story of loss, love, perseverance, and redemption.

Damien will make you swoon and the love he and Gia have for each other. 🙌

Thank you, Nicole Dixon, for letting me read your book! It was fabulous. After I read One Night, I skipped 2 and 3 and went straight to Four Score! Don't worry, I'll definitely be going back to read Two Strangers and Three Wishes.

I loved the ending at the beginning. Even though I knew Gia and Damien were together, their story was exciting and a bit worrisome. I was afraid for a quick minute.

I can't say too much without giving things away, but I definitely recommend this book. It was superb. Not gonna lie, Tyler ticked me off, judgemental little turd.

Love, family, redemption, forgiveness, healing. So good. Looking forward to backtracking and reading the other books. :)

Book #4 in the series and hands down my favorite. I loved everything about this book. The characters, the depth, the crossovers from book #3. So many happy/sad/happy tears. Perfection.

A happy healthy relationship so many people could learn from! Gia and Damien grew up and together in such a beautiful way in this book. By setting boundaries, communicating, and supporting one another, we watched their love bloom and trump all the hurdles thrown at them! What a well deserved happily ever after.

I won this book from Goodreads. However, it showed up on my Kindle with an invoice from Amazon. I returned it because I wasn't paying nearly $6 for a book that was supposed to be a gift.

Nicole. Freaking. Dixon. You guys. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve ugly cried while reading a book. But this book! It brings all the feels.

It’s no secret that my favorite Nicole Dixon book is Two Strangers. I never thought a book would come close to that one, but this book is right up there with it. This is book 4 in the Paint By Numbers series. It follows Gia (Tyler’s sister in book 3) and Damien (Tyler’s best friend).

One night in college Gia and Damien cross the line. That leads to the sweetest little baby girl and a strange family dynamic. But this little family can conquer anything!

I don’t know how to adequately express my love for this book without giving away spoilers. But just know that this is Nicole’s best book yet. You will laugh and you will cry. You will be angry and you will forgive. You will go through every emotion. Nicole has so much depth as an author. Her stories draw you in and make you fall in love with every character. Damien and Gia are the SWEETEST!

This book had a serious chokehold on me and I couldn’t put it down. Do yourself a favor and read this book. This is one of my favorite romance series on the market today. And it gets better with every book.

Read this book if you love:
🏒 brother’s best friend.
🏒 surprise pregnancy (but it’s done in the best way!)
🏒 redemption
🏒 sports romance (hockey)
🏒 interconnected standalones
🏒 feisty female main character
🏒 open door romance

Nicole Dixon girl! You killed it. I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know if Gia and Tyler ever mended things. I just kept thinking and knowing they were both in pain. But mostly I loved loved loved Damien and Gia’s relationship. The pull they have. It was so sexy! My heart was totally in it. It made me laugh, tear up some places and the spice level was perfect! I most loved the amount of respect and loyalty Damien and Gia had. They always had each others backs. I hope that readers will interpret it the way you envisioned! I think I did. I loved the growth and maturity seen by all the characters, but mostly in Gia, she was strong and independent but she didn’t push away Damien and that was totally everything. The hate she carried for her brothers action hurt, I hurt reading that because sadly it happens so much in reality. The ending, ah I don’t want to comment too much but the maturity we see with her in the end was everything. I seriously couldn’t put it down. I may have ignored my mom duties until I finished it in one day!

You did it again! I am invested in this series and I hope there’s more to come😉

So. Many. Emotions. 5/5. 10/10. Easily my favorite in the Paint by Number series!

Gia and Damien. 😮‍💨 Where do I even begin? The support they have for one another is absolutely amazing. With their parenting, careers, and goals, they are completely on the same page, and I’m here for it. And the chemistry they bring to the table is unmatched!! Talk about FIRE! Then we mix in their beautiful daughter, mama Patterson, AND Tyler and Casey! Reading Casey and Tyler’s banter again had me reeling, I almost forgot how much I loved them!

Do yourselves a favor and read this series you guys! DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!

He’s her brother’s best friend. She’s always been off limits. Until one kiss leads to one night… to one positive test, changing and intertwining their lives forever.

Gia and Damien’s story is book 4 in the Paint by Number series. While it can be read as a standalone, you get a lot more insight and background reading the previous titles in this series prior.

OMG, Nicole Dixon! This. Dang. Book. My emotions were all over the place. I was so happy, sad, angry, smitten and everything in between. It was amazing to see the characters from a different perspective than the last 3 books. Gia and Damien’s relationship didn’t start out the way most relationships do, but they are seriously couple goals. Damien is a book boyfriend I won’t be getting out of my head any time soon!

Thank you, Nicole for allowing me to be a part of your ARC team! This one is perfect! 💜

𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒆: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Four Score can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading book 3 (Three Wishes) before you read this one. This book gives you the “other” perspective to that evening. You see the aftermath and the reconciliation of a family.

Gia and Damien have been friends since they were kids. Damien and Tyler were best friends…until two pink lines happened. I love this book because Nicole shows you a very healthy co-parenting relationship. Damien and Gia have goals for their future and as they accomplish those they bury their love for one another.

I love Gia’s determination to keep Damien on the right path and keep his feelings and heart protected. This book was the ending I needed after reading book 3!

ARC REVIEW
Four Score by Nicole Dixon (Paint by Numbers series)
Release date: Out Now!
Rating: 4⭐️

Hockey romance. Brother’s best friend. Spicy. Need I even say more?!?

Nicole has a way of commanding your attention with her writing. Like it feels disrespectful to put the book down to go do real life stuff. Don’t ask me to explain because I can’t, lol. She is also awesome at introducing characters in previous books and giving them really fleshed-out stories but not to the point where you don’t want to read their ACTUAL stories when their book finally arrives.

Congrats Nicole on another great book!

This book is an absolute must read. It’s beautiful and heartbreaking but the love between Gia and Damien makes every obstacle worth it.

‘This is a kiss you remember for a lifetime; it brands your soul and steals air from your lungs.’

Nicole Dixon did an incredible job building this story. I fell in love with these characters over and over again - their strength and resilience and their devotion.

I was truly moved by this book and it’s definitely one that will stay with me for a long time.

Boy was I ready for this book from Nicole Dixon and it did not disappoint!!! Damien and Gia’s story was just nagging me in the back of mind every since their first mention earlier in her Paint by Numbers series… and it was everything I wanted it to be ❣️❣️ I laughed, I cried (several times) and I was tied up in pure knots more times than I can count. Their story was broken and perfect in the sweetest, most satisfying way!! Highly recommend!
