Atlanta's Oakland Cemetery: An Illustrated History and Guide
In Atlanta and Environs , historian Franklin M. Wonderful images, excellent urban history, and a real treat for any admirer of funerary art. There's always something "new" to discover at Oakland Cemetery, and the preservation foundation puts on events all year long. Don't forget to cap off your visit with a drink and meal at Six Feet Under across the street. By far the best fried okra in town (not mushy!).

A good overview of Oakland Cemetery and the history there.
Some parts seemed a bit glossed over, but this is a great view if the cemetery as a whole and a great place to start for anyone interested in Oakland.

Beautiful overview of this garden cemetery. Too many stories to include, but the authors do a great job at hitting the high notes.
