My son loves these books about kittens and puppies. I was never into cute animal stories at his age-- I was more of a Goosebumps girl --but whatever keeps him reading. In this one, two children rescue a kitten that got run over and work together to raise money to cover Whiskers' vet fees. It's a pretty sweet story about how kids can get involved and raise money for a cause they believe in.

Skarletė su drauge Ebe ir mama traukinių stotyje susipažįsta su maža katyte, kuri nuolat ten kiūto. Jos ima kasdien ką šnekinti, duoti maistelio. Bet deja netrukus katytę partrenkia mašina... o pinigėlių niekas neturi sumokėti už jos kojytės operaciją.
Knygutė labai šilta ir su gražia pabaiga. Tikrai skatina empatiją ir manau visi jaunesnio amžiaus ir ne tik vaikai turėtų perskaityti ją. Holly Webb rašo labai jaukias ir mielas istorijas apie gyvūnėlius. Man labai patiko, kad nutikus bėdai veikėjai rado sprendimą kaip padėti katytei, nes jos šeimininkai buvo tikrai nekokie žmonės. Juk jei tavo augintinis suserga – privalai daryti viską, kad jį pagydytum, o Ūsiukės šeimininkai jos atsižadėjo...
Rekomenduoju visų amžiaus grupių žmonėms, kurie myli gyvūnus.

Scarlett loves going to school in morning because she always gets to see Whiskers, the kitten at the train station. Whiskers is so friendly and cute and loves the attention. One day Whiskers gets hit by a car and Scarlett is devastated. And worse yet, her owner can’t pay for her to get a special Surgery treatment. Can Scarlett raise enough money for Whiskers? I loved this cute tail and would recommend it for cat lovers. Whiskers is very cute and Scarlett is a nice girl. I will read it again. ❤️
