Before Tamron Hall announced to the world in March 2019 that she and her husband, Steven Greener, were expecting their first baby, most folks had no idea that the former Today show star had tied the knot in the first place. As Tamron later joked with Good Housekeeping, she considers that "proof that you can keep things private."

Although Tamron has been pretty tight-lipped about her beau over the years, Tamron has confirmed that Steven is a music executive. As the Head of Music Talent at Primary Wave Entertainment, Steven has worked with music and comedy legends like Fantasia Barrino and Bernie Mac. His production credits include Guess Who, The Bernie Mac Show, and Soul Men.

The story goes that Tamron began dating Steven after her Today show exit in February 2017, which she hinted at during an interview with Steve Harvey in the same year.

While guest cohosting Live With Kelly and Ryan in summer 2019, Tamron revealed that the two knew each other for about four years before becoming an item. But, for Tamron, "his game was not up to par" for her to know that he was actually flirting with her over the years.

“He would run into me and he kept saying, ‘What are the odds?'” she told Ryan Seacrest. “I’m like, ‘Cause you’re stalking me, the odds are high.'”

Two years later, she ran into him again at a pool in Los Angeles. After the two started talking, Steven finally asked her about going out for pizza together and joked, “Let’s get married.” She wasn't sure what to think at the time, but after giving him a shot, the two started dating and moved in together three weeks later.

Knowing her mother would not be happy about their living arrangement, Tamron tried to hide the fact that they lived together whenever her mom would visit.

“My mother is a Southern old-school, so I kept saying he was ‘visiting,'” she said. “And then, when my mom first visited us, I moved all of his clothing out and he had to stay at a friend’s house a few blocks up. Then he lost the key to the house. It’s a crazy story. But yeah, basically we hid it. It was like a comedy special and my mother said later, she always knew. She said, ‘I always knew he lived there.'”

Now, Steven and Tamron couldn't be any happier, especially after welcoming baby Moses into their lives on April 25, 2019.

When asked about the secret to their marriage, Tamron told Good Housekeeping that she and Steven made a promise to each other to "never turn on each other" and "always be on each other's side."

"For him, he wants my show to make it, but he wants our marriage to work and he knows part of that is maintaining this foundation and him being comfortable with who he is and not pushed into someone he isn't," Tamron said, adding that Steven likens their dynamic to Dolly Parton and Carl Dean's, where "the husband" is out of the spotlight.

Most recently, Tamron shared a special photo of herself and Steven on Instagram in honor of Valentine's Day.

“Happy Valentine’s day to you ❤️ Old pic same love and same fade lol,” she wrote. “The ride is always unpredictable but the person next to you can help make the bumps easier to take. Last year dinner out, this year I’m cooking oxtails at home 🤷🏽‍♀️ and loving it all."
