Keke Palmer debuted her adorable new son to the world on Instagram on February 27, noting in the caption that the little one's name—Leodis Andrellton Jackson—feels like a perfect moniker for a kid born during Black History Month, and fans are loving it.

“Born during Black History Month, with a name to match 😄!,” the Nope actor wrote on IG. “LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo.” On Twitter, a fan agreed, “That name sound like it led a civil rights march.” Palmer herself responded with a quote-tweet, “It’s giving I marched with Martin, purrrr.”

Other Twitter users also praised the new mom's baby name choice. “KeKe Palmer is a legend for naming her son Leodis during Black History Month,” one person tweeted. “Keke Palmer said she bringing back the strong BLACK names. The great granddaddy names!” tweeted another. “‘With the name to match!' Keke Palmer is a national treasure,” one person commented

Fans are also thrilled that, unlike many a celebrity parent, Palmer hasn't shied away from sharing little Leo's face with the world. In the same IG post, she teased in the caption, “‘I’m not hiding the world from my son, I’m hiding my son from the world.’ Hahaha,” followed by, “I’m just playing, my baby face is on this slide.”

Leo is Palmer's first child, whom she shares with boyfriend Darius Jackson. He also announced the birth of the couple's child on IG, with the much less wordy caption: “Leodis Andrellton Jackson. February 25th, 2023. 3:28 PM.”

Congrats to the happy parents!
