Katy Perry is wearing her heart on her sleeve and her lyrics on her train. The pop star, who is mounting a comeback after a stint as a judge on American Idol, arrived at Paris Fashion Week wearing the words to her upcoming single “Woman’s World” as an accessory. She stepped out in a red one-shouldered bodycon dress with a cape, and underneath it, a red train with the lyrics printed in block white letters.
It looks like the cape is supposed to go on top of the train to make it look like it’s all one garment, but you can see here that the words are coming out from under her hem.
According to Rolling Stone, the train is 500 feet long. But Page Six reports the length as 200 yards, or 600 feet. Can someone please take a measuring tape to Paris and confirm?
The stunt is definitely working as far as creating buzz and expectation for the song, which drops July 11. Especially because you have to work to read the lyrics.
