Kate Middleton was radiant as she made her triumphant return to public life with an appearance at Trooping the Colour.

The Princess of Wales was the epitome of elegance in a white coatdress with black detailing and a matching fascinator. The mother-of-three, who delighted royal fans by announcing her plans to attend late on June 14, was beaming with joy as she waved to crowds who had gathered at Buckingham Palace, hoping to catch a glimpse of the princess.

As her husband, Prince William, rode out in his role as Colonel of the Welsh Guards, Kate joined her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis in a ceremonial carriage to process from the palace down the Mall to Horse Guards Parade, where King Charles III took the salute.

Once at Horse Guards Parade, the princess and Queen Camilla took their seat beneath a canopy to witness the extraordinary display of military precision.

On show was Kate’s beautiful Trooping the Colour outfit, which is a new addition to her royal wardrobe. The princess wore a dazzling white coatdress with a black-and-white-striped bow detail on the neckline. Pinned to her chest was a diamond brooch. In a touching nod to son Prince Louis, she opted to wear a pair of her Cassandra Goad Cavolfiore pearl stud earrings, which she first wore for her son’s christening back in 2018.

Princess Anne, whose title is the Princess Royal, Colonel of the Blues and Royals, also took part in the extraordinary military showcase with the Prince of Wales, Colonel of the Welsh Guards.

Trooping the Colour marks the first public appearance that the princess has made since she shared her cancer diagnosis with the world back in March. In a personal message released ahead of the event, Kate said she has been “blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement” she has received during her cancer treatment. The mother-of-three wrote she has been “making good progress” with “good and bad days,” but plans to attend a number of engagements over the summer months.

She continued, “I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal.”
