Ingmar Bergman Eating

(Original Caption) 2/1959- Ingmar Bergman, Swedish film's big name and creator of Cannes-awarded movies, found a little folk song with a gruesome story to it while studying history of literature in Stockholm at the end of the 1930s. Now he has been busy for some time making a movie out of it, a movie that will be as gruesomely realistic as the song itself. The scenes are being filmed in Dalecarlia in Sweden in very suitable surroundings- dark forest land and thundering waterfalls- for the story of "little Karin" who is raped by three shepherds, murdered by them and then avenged by her father. The name of this movie so far is "The Maiden Spring." Ingmar Bermgan is a busy man.
